Yes but the union--I mean slave rights association--does not let you treat clerical slaves like those in Torvald's mines. At best, repeated poor performance means adding time onto their contract. But do you really want someone doing a poor job to stay on that job even longer? Sometimes it is best to just trade them off to someone else.

Empire cares about you, comfortable cargo containers and you always have a job! In the Federation, every job can give you a rental bunk bed and a cockroach mush paste bar a day! In the Alliance, if you choose to die of starvation crying that nobody cares about you, you're always free to do so! There's no slavery!

How Logs from the Sevantya 14 says it should read :

"Oh my god the abducted are all bad, lock them away in a room with a nuke, and don't rescue anyone else"

How it reads to me :
Paranoid "scientist" (Azimuth-sponsored, of course) runs unsupervised experiment with improper conduct, panics and freaks out when a man who should have received psychological support was left to himself and understandably snaps a bolt after getting hit with the fact that he was abducted by Thargoids and that his family is [probably] still missing. Also misjudges what the physical capabilities of an individual may be.

And apparently doesn't know guns well. The AR-50 sucks and it would probably take it six shots to kill an unprotected human.


(Part of this is a joke, mind you)
