If these dockable rescue ships are a preview of the dockable ships squadrons are supposed to be able to get, then I'm pretty happy with it.

Can't agree with that... I am hoping for something more like Battlestar Galactica - not that long stick with more function than style or presence

Yeah definitely that. The current megaship just look like a big station. I guess by function that's what they are but it's not what people want.

I'd be happy enough with my old Kyoto from X3 AP. I'm not expecting too much from a game that doesn't even allow player to player currency/equipment trading.

Too funny! Ithought about that last flight when I made Viscount... Got this measly 6-7 word notice about promotion. I thought to myself, it would be nice if we had Naval uniforms with rank, medials, etc, heck there's an EASY enough cash grab for FD right there!


Yanno... (Free) Rank insignia for ships would go a long way toward my caring about such things - besides getting to buy certain ships I never use.

While I do agree that rank insignia should be a thing and should have been from the start (I mean we have all the other insignia for combat, trade, exploration ranks). I'm purely talking about a shameful microtransaction here. I like the idea of these jackets that go over our flightsuit but don't like the current selection. I think money is a good way to motivate Frontier but being free would be great.

Let's say I keep a ship in Colonia and a ship closer to the main populated area of space. Can I die in a throw-away Sidewinder in Colonia and pick my ship back home and essentially teleport when I get bored exploring?

I for one would love to see what the Smiling Dog Crew could do with their own fleet of capital ships.

<sigh> It's really annoying when some fool parks on the only medium pad on a station that's the target of an active CG....and then goes afk. For 8 hours. Sure, going solo is a way to get around this. But, oh, what I'd give for a way to obliterate the feeb off the outpost without getting blasted by the station. Sheesh. Next time that happens (twice already) I may just settle in for the wait and ambush him when he finally does launch.

Imo it's more FD issue, they should predict that this situation will happen and do something against it. Like automatically move ship to "rear" hangar if not active for more as 2 minutes and similar. Also there is weird that such huge evac ship have only ONE landing pad for big ship ... that not make much sense.
