uh... maybe... shooting at them, hitting them would help?..

I do that, and I have two rails (unmodded I admit, was getting used to using rails then this CG came about) and a PA. I just don't have enough DPS to get those shields down before the SCB activates with that setup.

For Low Emissions power plant, would you rather get Double Braced or Stripped Down? Thermal Spread only gives me 0.01 more improvement and I don't need the extra power from Monstered.

If you have EDMC and dock with a carrier - the FC owner can see you as passenger here in Inara, under misc tab of the FC, same applies to stored ships and modules (those are represented by number)

As for contacting a FC owner there are few options:
1. In-game send friend request and hope you are on same platform
2. Here on Inara if the owner is registered user
3. In fleet carrier owners club discord server if the owner is a member.
4. https://fleetcarrier.space/ if the owner bothered to register there. It looks like early alpha.
