I also use A rated Collectors, but then again I'm only using them to collect manufactured materials where extra range comes in handy. And in rare times I actually try mining I'll just use them instead of going out to buy D rated
But saving weight and power draw makes sense and for mining when glued to an asteroid laser mining, the range shouldn't matter.

What controls are you using?
i also have oculus quest 2.. i am using the PS4 controller.. the problem im having is typing i dont touch type and i cant get the virtual keyboard to come up during play, which sucks trying to type in star system.. any ideas will be appreciated.
My VR setup is simple, comfy chair, xbox360 controller, and keyboard for typing.
But taking off VR to find station that sells what I need was getting annoing.
Recently I started to use EDcoPilot, for searching and plotting and that eliminated the need for keyboard.
You can overlay EDcoPilot inside your VR, I put it behind me so I don't see it all the time, and when I need something, I turn to the overlay and use my mouse to find what I need, then when I click on station that I want to go to, EDcoPilot plots the route for me and off I go. Good luck.

This is why I am looking forward to Mixed Reality headsets coming down in price. Virtual reality is cool, but with mixed reality you can map elements of your cockpit and have them rendered in the sim. Need to see your watch or a kneeboard, can do in MR.
However, mixed reality glasses still run about 6k (not counting the new PC needed to power it.) I guess I will have to suffer with my VIVE pro for a while longer.

I may also look into this. I am not familiar with twitch or discords, but I enjoy learning new ways to improve gameplay.

VR glasses work best with a short spillproof cup, like a coffee cup. Not so good with tall mugs...but okay with bottles. I have a minifridge in my simulator.[/quote]
A mini fridge, I love it. The closest thing I have to beverage storage around my gaming chair is a cup holder.

Ah, to be clear Desktop+ lets you overlay desktop windows on your VR game interface. I just used Twitch as an example.
