Emily Valeforhopefully keep the lights on for frontier
I'd say, if you visit their website, Elite is the last of those big 'showcase' tiles of the games they're working on. You can click for ages on the button below to load more articles and press releases to find anything Elite-related. Watch the video they keep running under the 'Welcome to Frontier' text, it's like 15s long looped thing and it features an entire second (or even less lol) of Pee Mk2 footage. Maybe it's a coincidence, and I'm simply overthinking, maybe not. Yet I'm convinced that Frontier should do fine with their dinocoasters-manager games, in case lights go out here. Maybe sunk cost fallacy effect is what really helping Elite.

The best thing I can say there is that apparently Elite is covering its development costs when people smarter than me quote those financial reports Frontier makes.

... which doesn't mean much given the current pace of the game, but I guess it is better than not having it.

I don't think they will let this happen, we tend to forget the effort put into developing new ships and change of policies with selling the premiums.

They have plans for ED, but not a revolution, rather an evolution with the development team they have now, now let's hope they look at the on foot game including VR because at the moment it's just a turn off for VR players...

Check the scanned bodies layer on edastro.com/galmap before you get too exited about the centre. It has been scanned to shreds.

AH5D Frame Shift Drive (SCO)
Increased range (5)
Stripped Down

why?
"A" module is better
Increased range (5) is ok
don't use Stripped Down but mass manager

A5 would have been better but mass manager hits the integrity and for what? 0.5 ly? It's not worth it. FSD would be toast in 20 or so neutron star jumps.
I should have used Double braced. Integrity to 127 from 93. Probably have given me few more jumps before the FSD is toast and stewardess starts screaming "Hull breach! FSD failure! We are going down! Eject, EJECT!...Oops, never mind, FSD is back online".

The reason why you get only 0.5 Ly out of Mass Manager is because your ship doesn't jump very far in the first place. Unlike the Guardian FSD Booster which adds a flat amount of Ly to your jump range, Mass Manager adds a percentage. And using a neutron star quadruples your range, including the part added by Mass Manager.

Keep in mind, even if a star is only 0.5 Ly out of reach, the next best one may be much closer, so you lose much more than just 0.5 Ly. In regions with low star density, a few missing Ly may be the difference between flying a straight course and taking a huge detour.

Always take Mass Manager. It's a no-brainer really.

I'll keep that in mind if I find a way how to keep this game interesting and decide to get a next ship.
At the moment, what I got has to do. 8K+ ly to go before I can even see The Bubble.

I understood that the hard way when I visited the Galactic Center... I got +2.16/+2.06/+2.38 out of mine with Mass Manager for 72.70 Ly empty (with fuel).

The idea to "D everything" originated from one of you. LOL.

Kasumi, you claimed that you were one of the Thargoids' abductees so you should be also connected to their hive mind like Seo Jin-ae.

AHThe idea to "D everything" originated from one of you. LOL.

You probably read Thinder's 'advice' which seem obsessively focused on min-maxing, and not even in a good way. Like stripping FSDs down to a size where the ship (with a combat focus) literally cannot jump to another system, all for a few extra decimals of turn rate or meters of speed and whatnot, or using "stripped down" as an experimental for the FSD when there is no benefit to speed and negligible increase in maneuverability. I tried to provide some improvements to a build and was just repeatedly told I was "enforcing my viewpoint" despite simply pointing out how the build could be made better without it getting turned into something it was not supposed to be (and not actually losing anything, only making it better).

The only time a D rated FSD - as I have heard - is actually beneficial is with the SCO drives where on smaller ships (like the Imperial Courier) get more range out of a 3D due to its lower weight while retaining the same base jump range as a regular A rated FSD. But you lose out on overcharge performance with that.
