I've been chasing after ready-to-wear upgraded personal equipment; from the results I get, my impression is they spawn just randomly, or if not, only very briefly. In which case there'd be no use following the data on it. Anyone know the truth of it?

Case in point just now was a station where I regularly pass by, where a grade-2 suit was reported to be on sale just 1 day ago. While I can't say for sure, there's every chance I regularly check with pioneer supplies there, anyway; and sure enough going back there now, there was nothing special on offer.

Upgraded on-foot gear spawns randomly after each weekly tick every Thursday morning. It is share among all players.

So, if you saw upgraded rifle after Thursday morning and it disappeared before next Thursday morning some other CMDR bought it. Once someone buys upgraded gear it disappear for others until RNG spawns something again on Thursday morning. What is not bought before Thursday morning disappears.

The only question I have left then is: Once it gets reported/shows up in the data here, isn't it already gone? Or, is the system here aware of it without player feedback?

Not necessarily. With EDMC running I always check ~~Frontier Solutions~~ Pioneer Supplies just to look what they offer. Sometimes I see upgraded/modded gear but don't buy it. So it gets reportet but is available until someone buys it. Then you have to wait for the Thursday restock.

I’ve not found 3rd party sites for this but there is a fairly active thread on the forum

Though, after using these random loots to getvto G5, the next lot I think I’ll just buy default kit and upgrade them myself.

I think Epi rather meant if 3rd party tools are being updated with personal equipment inventory on stations like the regular outfitting - it's unfortunately still not the case. The information about the gear gets in only when somebody will buy the piece and it's not going in via EDDN (so not also from EDMC). By that principle, the information is often obsolete right at the time of the update (unless there are multiple pieces available), but it may provide an overview where may be a specific gear bought, with some luck.

I'm sorry guys. Looks like I assumed too much. The canonn plugin for EDMC gets the data only when someone buys a suit.

On the Canonn-Alerts Discord server there's a "suit-location" channel which I used to buy my pre-engineered suits. As I could find what I was looking for I just assumed that the data gets updated by just visiting which is not correct. A suit has to be bought for the plugin to register. So the channel is a spawn list.

Yeah, this is what I meant but I also didn't knew that you have added the option to search for personal equipment

Thanks for further details above, Artie, Kayem. Tbh I think I just happened to stumble over these outfitting listings recently, which put me on to the existence of such pre-upgraded gear in the first place!

(And now increasingly put off at the prospect of having to grind all that junk out & up...)
