Stability on L6 is a waste of slot. You should've put faster reload there.

Lets say theoretically a faction was , i dunno, like 200ly away from any other inhabited system
Could they ever expand with that large of a gap ?

They be alone for good, nobody gets out, nobody comes in. Unless FDev manually implements them.

stowed reload almost take 4/5 seconds to reload ammos that's why I put stability, maybe faster reload take less seconds to reload? and how much?

20-30% faster reload AFAIK.
It affects stowed reload as well.

o7 cmdrs,
Did anybody try to use all 3 thermo effects (vent, shock and conduit) on beams at the same time? I am flying MKII now with three 3C gimbal beams all engineered for long range level 2 with specials: one with vent and two with oversize. Would it benefit any way if I replace oversize for thermo shock and conduit? Thanks

i only have two 4a level 5 long range beam lasers together in use, one with thermal vent and the other one with flow control or with thermal shock - working great together.
when firing both together the heat will not inrease much but watch your energy draw, the one with thermal vent is needed to keep the temp low, replacing it with thermal shock is two much..
than the temp will rise constanly and thats not the only weapons that are in use during combat.. so at least one weapon with thermal vent is needed, or some cooling units.. - for fighting thargoids it can be usefull to have a higher temp during combat to get the caustic neutralized. thermal conduit i didn´t use much but i would be interesting how much damage it can output with a very hot firing ship..

There is no sense in combining thermal vent with thermal conduit. The latter increase damage when heat level is high, the former reduce heat.

There are far more efficient ways to rise temperature of AX combat ship, namely silent running and guardian gauss cannons.

i know, but silent running drops your shields, maybe i dont want that, than gauss cannons would be fine but other weapons will do the job too, gauss has only a higher thermal development
btw. combining thermal vent with thermal conduit makes only sense when using it in different firing groups, one to heat you up for the use of thermal conduit and one to cool you down.. but as i said i don´t tested thermal conduit much..

Shield increase your heat signature and hitbox. Unless you are using large ship, I would suggest you to drop shied in favor of HRP and MRP combo.

And with large ship you do not need to rise heat signature as they have plenty of optional internal slots to include decontamination limpets.

While I was switching back to oversized beams, I noticed something very upsetting. FD nerf oversized beams damage advantage from 3% to mere 2%.
