Just for the info - I have made a new thread "Rant corner" and I will be moving all the... well, rants and related posts there. Let's keep the other threads constructive.

Does anybody know how to get the pre-engineered Guardian weapons from Mbooni? I already have a load, but when I go back to get more, the ones I want are cross-hatched, like when your stored modules are at another station. I have all the materials, but when I click on the weapon, it says I can buy them from outfitting, but, obviously, they're not there because you need special materials to get them. I'm sure that last time I did it, they put them directly in my stored modules, but that doesn't happen now.

Also the tech broker in Mbooni shows class 3 pre-engineered plasma, which I unlocked, but where do I get them from? I never heard of anybody having them. Are they real?

BrohiemHow come I get killed every single freaking time when I get interdicted by a thargoid? Happens even when all I try to do is boost away and jump back into hyperspace....

I've been flying a Type 7 for the last couple of days, and a Type 6 before that, to shuttle refugees out of Thargoid invaded systems.

I usually get hyperdicted on the way into the destination system, and interdicted near the destination by flocks of Thargoids.

For hyperdiction I punch the throttle once systems come back on line, boost as often as possible, engage silent running, and arc back toward my destination system so I'm pointed near it when cool down finishes. When heat builds to about 140 I drop a heat sink, and when frame shift drive cools down enough I start that charging and disable silent running. All the while I'm turning back and forth, hitting boost, and doing corkscrews.

Interdiction goes about the same, but you throttle down to submit so there's no wait for cool down before engaging super cruise. While that charges, run silent, boost repeatedly, and make lots of turns and corkscrews.

They'll beat down my hull, and may coat it with caustic goo that causes progressive deterioration, but most of the time, say 8 out of 10, I make it to the station or settlement I'm aiming for and the pay for collecting refugees much more than covers the re-buys. It's hair-raising but it works. Usually.

And I've never been interdicted on the way back to the rescue ship with passengers. At least not by Thargoids. NPCs a few times, but they're easy to evade.

Since I nearly always us silent running, I'm thinking of off loading my shield generator and replacing it with hull reinforcements. That might make more sense. I just gotta be careful not to hit the toast rack, other ships, or the ground.

I have zero "engineering", in case you're wondering, but you'll need to keep weight down and boost speed up whether you aim to do combat or haul passengers. A good power plant probably helps charge the FSD a little quicker, and heat sinks need to be present so you can toss 'em out like candy.

I'm still new here, so the old hands may have better advice, but I thought my experience might be encouraging to some. Good luck & o7.

Respect for doing this with unengineered ships!

To all passenger rescue players.

Before you enter a "hot-zone" the following you must know. Make sure your ships has the following minimum equipment:

1: A shutdown field neutralizer (obvious reasons)
2: Heatsinks (if your temperature remains under 20% it is harder for interceptors to hit you)
3: A minimum boost speed of 430-450 m/s ( if interdicted by basilisk it will be harder to burn away from him thus heatsinks)<--NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERED
4: Silent running is the equivalent of having close to zero heat signature use it discretely
5: When interdicted from supercruise ALWAYS SUBMIT ( the cooldown is a lot shorter)
6: when hyperdicted boost boost boost. 6km is the mass lock range for all interceptors ( basi is the hardest to get away from)
7: DO NOT BE a paperthin flying kite with tons of passengers for max profit unless you know exactly what you are doing 1 or 2 hull reingorcements can get you a long way.
All interceptors will always blast their shutdown wave first then deploy a swarm all while sitting in place. All that time you must be boosting as fast as you can while your FSD cools down. If hyperdicted do not align right away to your destination, instead burn away from thargoid first , charge the fsd fully, then align to destination and jump. If interdicted, just submit, burn away, and low-wake out. If your speed is at least 430.. you will not be touched by anything. When docking and undocking on actively under attack ports do so always in silent run, pop a hetsink if heat builds too much and always be ready to use shutdown field neutralizer as you are coming in.. That pretty much will get you IN AND OUT everywhere you go. It works for me and i am VERY BAD at this game.

why on discord in axi forums they always ask to turn of crime reporting, is it creating bad instance ?
could not find any explanation for it

so I just found out that it will prevent you getting crimes against you for accidentally shooting clean ships in the heat of battle

good stuff
or
my way is to tank it baby, put as much shields and hull as you want, but for paperthin ships - SPEED, GET MAX SPEED and you good

I doubt that crime reporting works at all in those AX conflict zones. When I drop out near a station under attack, I always see "system link error, security response unavailable". That usually means no bounties even if you hit a clean ship by accident.

that what I noticed, so many times my beams hit other player or ax npc ships but no penalty, so crime reporting is off by default in ax combat instances then, which is good and makes sense, to me at least

crime reporting does work intermitently, so when you have ten players orbiting a single target firing, shards, gaus lasers and whay not, there is boud to be some friendly fire, if you hit someone by mistake and get a bounty you can no longer repair at that port under attack.

also guys, Doing some trucking on a t6 or any other medium pad hauler. Around Taranis... HIP 25679 Zahn's is a refinery that pretty much has every metal needed for rebulding phase. It is also 9.6ly trip with ultra short supercruise distances on both systems. I am personally working on IMEUT system, Levi-strauss station. if we surround taranis and take back all the systems from the storm we might get Fdev to press the NEXT button )fingers crossed

I took my neutralizer off as I have yet to have interceptors use the shutdown field during hyperdiction or interdiction. They seem to go straight for their guns. Very ocassionally, I've been caught in a shutdown close to a station which is a pain when trying to land but never resulted in rebuy.

The rules should include crime reporting off and exiting the rescue ship asap.

Thanks for that. I've been having a blast.

DirnivirGuardian sites aren't working for me. And i can't get the terminal to accept the relic. Ik what I'm going I've done it before. I rly want shard cannons cus a dude using them decimated a goid.
I've tried odyssey and horizons my friend couldn't do it either so: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/56567
Made a ticket.
Cus I also want other Guardian things I haven't unlocked yet.
Is anyone having any luck with Guardian grind if you've tried.

Also I have a billion credits in my bank cus of this Thargoid war loving it.

Jump back into space, then back to the guardian site. I can't remember whether you have to relog as well, but it fixed it for my friend two nights ago.
23 Dec 2022, 6:12pm
run site, drop relic, scan terminal, log off to main menu, hop back in, use private or solo mode. It should run smooth, if it doesn't then only FDEV can help you.
