Pahl07 Commanders, I just had a very strange occurance with one of my alt accounts. I started this alt account to park on my carrier as a refueler in a type 9, allowing me to send the carrier wherever i wanted to, seperate of my main account and meet up with it later out in the black, while my main account was busy exploring. (I run multiple computers and 2 different game launchers).`

I came back from exploration (Colonia, Sag A, Beagle Point) and I was using it to assist with missions in Barnard's Star and suddenly I received invitations from Elvira Martuuk, Tod McQuinn, and The Dweller, all ranked at grade 1 already.

I have not donated the required Soontill relics, 100,000 credits worth of bounty vouchers, or paying the 500,000 credits respectivly to any of the three, but I was able to engineer modules with upgrades anyway.

Just curious if any other players have experienced this.

This may seem like an odd question, but actually, I've only relatively recently gotten into combat. How do CMDR's set up multiple heat sink launchers? At present I have the default V key assigned, but, obviously, I don't want them all firing simultaneously.

Ship AI is smart enough to use just one heatsink even though you have more than one module.

Lot of people moving their FCs, I guess.
There appears to be a global cap on the number of FC jumps per minute, enforced by the servers.

I am trying to find Federation Large ports on https://inara.cz/elite/thargoidwar-locations/ which are under attack and offer passenger transportation missions, so I can up my Federation rank whilst doing these missions. Does anyone have a tip for this? Thanks!

Under Data -> Search Nearest -> Station, select your current system and then, under the 'economy' drop down, select 'Under Attack'. That should bring up a list of all stations currently being invaded by thargoids. You can then refine the search by selecting 'Station Type - Starport', 'Allegiance - Federation' and 'Min. Landing Pad - Large'. Coelho Terminal in Dao Tzu is the only large pad station but it is independent.
Awara has two planetary ports with large pads and Federation allegiance

There is one Fed faction in Dao Tzu, so whilst it is possible to get rescue missions there, I think you may be better finding a better system. Awara does have 2, a Quill said, which is probably better than Dao Tzu.

I would recommend HIP 20019 because there are 3 Fed factions, it's an orbital port (Selye Orbital), which is (if I recall) 129LY from Tarach Tor (4 jumps in a full Conda with an FSD booster) and can carry 152 passengers.

Hi Commanders,

I have recently decided to go all in on killing Thargoids so I can finally get the coveted Elite status.

I have killed 25 interceptors and around 200 scouts today and found my rank (Deadly) only moved from 2% to 3%. Is this normal, or do I have a bug in my in game status update? Because at that rate I'll have to kill 2425 interceptors and 19400 scouts and somehow I think that's not quite right.

Ranks were borked from the very start. A Hydra will give you the same amount of rank 'points' as some noodley haz-res NPC on a crappy ship.

Thank you CMDR for clearing that up, the ships AI is smarter than I thought.
I had previously thought it was firing the standard heat sinks simultaneously, but perhaps I was just using them up quickly.

Yeah, elite RES eagle worth more combat rank progression than deadly Spec OP FDL in high CZ and same as any Interceptor.

AI is smart enough if you assign a button in global keybindings. If you use firegroups instead, I believe they do fire simultaneously.

Are you playing in open? If so, you get the cash for landing a hit on an interceptor but you only register the rank if you take the killing shot. So even if you’ve done 99% of the work, some lucky cmdr might land a final mc bullet and take all the rank.
This was certainly the case before 14.02. It may have been fixed now.
