Rayman.are the Experimental Weapons Stabilizer only available to those who have done a community goal? I was too busy killing 50 medusas for the xeno-hunter tier here. Been searching where they are but they were not available everytime i arrived. Also is it a utility or optional module?

Nope, it's available for everybody, you can search them here (it seems yesterday's troubles with the in-game availability are gone): https://inara.cz/elite/nearest-outfitting/?formbrief=1&pa3[]=132375
It's an optional module.

I was unlucky then. I had a lot of frustations trying to get that module with no avail

Edit: Found and bought it now. I can now test triple ax multicannon on krait against scouts

If it's any consolation they announced on the frameshift live stream yesterday that they are making changes in next week's patch to rectify those issues. The devs acknowledge that the progress bars are not working properly, they also intend to look at changing the weekly reset mechanic that has frustrated everyone involved in anti xeno activities.
So - fingers crossed, huh?

In a sea of darkness, a tiny spot of light at the end of e very long tunnel offers still a glimmer of hope. I receive your news in good spirits, reinforced by the fact i can scan them at 2km as of today, the darkness behind seems to be giving way to the light spot ahead.

I have horrible issues with kills registering, basically for hydras it has counted 2 solos and a third solo i did at a station but none of the ones in open/private group or whenever i do them in wing. Same with medusa counts, except there even solo kills have not counted. I have killed a medusa by myself having a mission for it and it has not even registered for the mission either. I raised this issue a while back with Artie , he said it has nothing to do with inara and i concur, it is Elite not getting the information right. Also there is discrepancy in what inara sees in your inventory and what you actually have as far as engineering materials go. For example, yesterday had 37 guardian techs on me, however after a manual update in inara it kept saying i only had 24. I believe there is a problem of Fdev's side. Bottom line good luck getting that tier 4 and 5 goid hunter badge.

Solo mode works for me so far. Im not doing missions for em. Getting medusa kills took a bit time becasue they spawn more uncommon than basilisk variants but if you get lucky there will be 2 medusa spawning after killing some scouts on planetary station/space station

There is my currect progress so far. I required kill remaining alien sausages and nooby intercerptors.

After reaching tier 4 i will probably have like: 20k overall kills, 1k interceptor kills, 200 basilisk kills, 100 medusa kills AND most likely 50 hydra kills which we will have to wait for our beloved fdev to fix issues.

Try logging into solo mode from the main menu and then try the manual update again — Inara tries to keep track of the changes, but if it loses sync logging into the game ought to generate a journal entry with the full listing. (If you’re running EDMC and it is configured to send data to Inara then the manual update should be unnecessary, EDMC should send the relevant journal data within 2 minutes.)

Buddaboom In the last few days I've observed a correlation between Black Box Salvage Ops and good numbers of High Grade, Encoded and Degraded Emissions. This circumstance has occurred too many times now for it just to be good luck. I usually accept missions […] for gathering grade 5 mats such as Military Super Capacitors, Military Grade Alloys, Core Dynamics Composites, Imperial Shielding etc., which would otherwise be expensive to acquire through cross trading.

Is it not more efficient to farm the single HGE for the G5 mats?

Of course, but it's knowing where they'll be that I find tricky. It appears there's a high chance of them being in any system with a Black Box Salvage Op from my recent experience. To illustrate, I had one mission yesterday with 4 HGE in the same system, the others had at least 1. If you know of a better method of divining their location I'd be very pleased to learn it.

Core Dynamics Composites and Proprietary Composites – Federation, high population, state none.

Military Grade Alloys – Any system, high population, state war/civil war.

Imperial Shielding - Empire, high pop, state none/election.

Proto Heat Radiators – Independant, high pop, state boom.

Pharmaceutical Isolators – Any system, any population, state outbreak.

Improvised Components - Independant, any population, state civil unrest.

Proto Light Alloys and Proto Radiolic Alloys – Independant or Alliance, high population, state boom.

That is a revelation, many thanks CMDR! I will now have to undertake a comparative test to see which is most productive.

I guess that the conditions that result in a high frequency of Black Box Salvage Ops missions also result in a high likelihood of HGEs spawning. It’s a good observation.

From my observations Proto Heat Radiators can spawn in any system in boom state, but they are easiest found in independent ones because there they do not compete with the ‘superpower-aligned’ materials listed above.
In any case, I agree that when searching for HGEs an important thing is to look for high-population systems.

I've just had a quick spin round some highly populated Federation systems. I found Core Dynamics Composites and Proprietary Composites, as per the list, but also Proto Light Alloys, Proto Radiolic Alloys and Proto Heat Radiators. In wolf 424, which is in a state of War, I found Military Supercapacitors, and in TZ Arietis, also in a state of war, I found Miltary Supercapacitors and Miltary Grade Alloys. In both of those systems in a state of war I also found the other mats, but no miltary mats in those systems not in a state of war. Using the basic principle of the list for finding these mats (high population), I found grade 5 mats very quickly regardless.

07 Commanders, I just had a very strange occurance with one of my alt accounts. I started this alt account to park on my carrier as a refueler in a type 9, allowing me to send the carrier wherever i wanted to, seperate of my main account and meet up with it later out in the black, while my main account was busy exploring. (I run multiple computers and 2 different game launchers).`

I came back from exploration (Colonia, Sag A, Beagle Point) and I was using it to assist with missions in Barnard's Star and suddenly I received invitations from Elvira Martuuk, Tod McQuinn, and The Dweller, all ranked at grade 1 already.

I have not donated the required Soontill relics, 100,000 credits worth of bounty vouchers, or paying the 500,000 credits respectivly to any of the three, but I was able to engineer modules with upgrades anyway.

Just curious if any other players have experienced this.

Thanks for doing the research for everyone
This provides some evidence for a hunch I have had for some time, that all of the Proto Things™ are simply more likely to appear in any system in the boom state, and none of them are actually ‘Alliance-aligned’, while Core Dynamics Composites / Proprietary Composites and Imperial Shielding are simply more likely to appear respectively in Federation and Imperial systems (IOW, they are ‘Federation-aligned’ and ‘Empire-aligned’, respectively), regardless of the state. So e.g. in a Fed system in the Boom state you get both the CD/P Composites and the Proto Things™.
However, to be sure, one would have to gather much more solid data.

Apparently some people did: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/i-got-automatic-access-to-some-engineers.603677/
Looks like one of the many bugs in 4.0.
