A few things i'm wondering about



What happens when your ship gets destroyed while your in your rover? ( this is my current stuation due to ignorance,lack of even the most basic research and gullibilty/misunderstanding basically my own stupid fault although the view of 2 thargoids flying across the night sky whilst another roots among the ruins and i hide in an abandoned building is spectacular)

7a multi purpose limpet controller - how do you get a 2nd repair limpet to work on your ship, every time i do this the first one is destroyed?

You can only have one limpet active on one ship at any one time. You can't therefore have two limpets repairing your ship at the same time. You can repair your own ship and another with the second, but the only benefit is the amount of repair you can get from a Class 7.

The new (for me) odyssey FSS planetary scan (gives you the blue overlay on the planet) in theory i know how it's supposed to work (youtube vids) but after i've scanned the planet and got down to the planet (not landed just hovering) i have the blue overlay but i don't have the filter that allows you filter what you want eg braintrees,crystal shards, etc. I guess there must be a keybind ? or i'm missing something obvious.

You should be able to use a bind in FSS to see if there are biologicals and geologicals on the planet you've scanned. If there are none of either, you won't get the option.

There are braintrees on the planet (no other geos or bios) it's my favourite place for gathering Technetium,selenium and Niobium so i know it pretty well and i can't see a keybind in the menu. I'll have another look in the menu. ( i recently spent the best part of a week messing around with the SRV driving controls getting the damned thing driveable i think if i have to mess around in the controls menu again it will lead to another break from Elite)

Not sure I can remember this happening to me so I'm not sure.

This has happened to me but as I'm in Odyssey all I had to do was summon an Apex taxi, then go through the usual rebuy process at the local space station. Not that this will help in your case, I would be curious to know how that works out for you 07

SteveS490Sorry ive been gone a bit im on xbox and inara is no longer tracking my progress? Did that go along with Frontiers support for console ED?

ED 3.8 (Console and Legacy PC clients) are no longer developed and the universe is split from the Live client (EDO/EDH 4.0).
Logically, third party tools, such as Inara and EDDB, ditched the legacy mode too.

I'll have another look at the FSS/DSS keybindings before i do anymore farming (hopefully not for a very long time)

Episparh was right about having to self destruct. What did surprise me was after paying the rebuy i restarted at my " Home Base" i don't belong to any wings or factions etc i just have a place where i keep most of my ships ( for Silver Taffer) I thought i would restart at the nearest station.

Yes, but not recently, except in that game. The timing is suspicious.

I'd love to see more Guardian involvement. There's still the unexplored story of the Guardian AI that might be hiding somewhere.
