Do you know what would be good weapons against glaives? I was flying relatively easy to maelstrom to collect corrosive and caustics until recently when I was interdicted twice by the glaives. The first encounter there were 2 of them outside of maelstrom system and I managed to high wake from them with 25% hull lost. The second time it was just a single glaive but inside of maelstrom system and I was not able to low or high wake from it. When I released that there was no escape since it was faster than my chief and it was repeatedly disabling my fsd, I started fighting it with beams and ax multies I had. I managed to kill it but the chief was hardly holding together and it was killed by a cyclops which appeared right after I finished the glaive. The hindsight tells me that I should have started to fight it right away but I failed it due to trying to escape based on my previous experiences dealing with thargoids. It seems that 3 1E gimbal beams worked acceptably against glaive shields but multies were very slow in shredding its hull. So if I would want to continue flying to maelstrom I need more powerful weapons against glaive’s hull. Could anybody share their successful weapons loadout against so called thargoid hunter ship? Thanks

I don’t have much in the way of weapon advice, but I was interdicted by a Glaive in Maelstrom Oya’s system earlier. As soon as I dropped out, hit silent running and boosted away. I don’t think it shot at me or bothered giving chase - I was out of mass lock within seconds, no module or hull damage taken.

Oh, and general Maelstrom advice : Don’t use collector limpets in the center unless no enemies are even remotely close by. If an interceptor happens to notice them, it will launch Thargons and they immediately start to kamikaze at the limpets to try destroying them. Which means they’ll hit your ship.

I know from firsthand experience. Luckily, it was just a Cyclops, so once I got rid of them by disabling the controller, I carried on with my material gathering.

I once tried Multicannons on ground NPCs and they didn't have any effect. I would assume Frags to be the same? Missiles and mines are super effective.

Other topic: at the ED wiki there is a list (Sample Values & Details) of all the exobio payouts, Vista grants. But it seems outdated. My google-fu is sometimes weak... does anyone know a site where I can find the actual data?

Are they outdated? Min value- bacterias are at 1m.
Max values are at 19m.

Somewhere on forum I seen link to google sheet with all values, but I don't remember, which thread...

Ah great! Yes, your sheet is correct, the fandom wiki divers a bit. Cact.Cortex, Osseus Corni., Tubus Compa. are the ones I found are different. Thanks alot!

I am in the Empyrean Straits. I have been to 8 systems and every Platinum hot spot I have mined has no platinum. Is this occurring in the bubble, or have I discovered a huge bug? Tritium has been low yield, but it can be found. I have visited several systems within a 200 ly bubble, with no platinum. I am heading to a system with multiple large pristine platinum hot spots to confirm the issue.
