All AX Combat Zones in Sol appear to have vanished. At least when I get into the system.

They have, and Mars High is free of Thargoids (mostly). The ones that drop by might make angry sounds at your ship and fire off a shutdown pulse if it's an interceptor that detects it, but with my evac T8 that has no weapons they always immediately buzzed off again.

The ones that drop in on you in deep space are all too happy to get mad and stay around but with no interdictions happening, that's no real concern. I think Frontier purposely turned off those interdictions and CZs earlier in the day.

If so, then the boom would happen 24 hours later, based on what was answered for me earlier.

ThedayofI couldn't get through the corrosive cloud that surrounded the Titan, and every time I would get pushed out by the emp.I carry a Thargoid Pulse Neutraliser and when I see a blue light in the direction of the titan is to press the bound fire button, however it doesn't work.I've wasted hours not even seeing the titan, I'm hoping for help (especially on the point of how to avoid getting pushed out by emp)



Once you hear the Titan "charging" put all pips to SYS.
Once the blue wave starts emanating, take a breath before pressing AND HOLDING your keybind for the pulse wave neutralizer. The wave takes a moment to reach you.
Keep the keybind pressed, it's not toggle, you NEED TO KEEP IT PRESSED.
Your ship will shake and vibrate and heat will go up but you should not be thrown around or pushed back.
After the wave, pop a heat sink and boost, boost boost towards the red cloud. BUT: avoid the star shaped mines, the will wreck you.

Important: don't follow the HUD sign for the Titan, look for the red clouds and keep them ahead. If you're in open or a large PG, you will see beam lasers in the distance.

Did anyone in here ever play Freespace and Freespace 2?
I'm kind of hoping that FDev are going to follow one aspect of the storyline from Freespace 2. In Freespace you end up fighting a group of aliens that get named the Shivans. The Shivans are practically impossible to defeat at first, and even after a lengthy war they still have the upper hand most of the time. The end mission is the destruction of the enemy dreadnought participating in a mission that you will not be coming back from, and the end of the Shivan war. Freespace 2 starts 20 years later, and the Shivans show up again, in a super dreadnought with several heavy cruisers and screening elements. They want to know where their scout force went.

So, I got the engineered SCO drives, but no credits. Have the credit been awarded...or do I need to go somewhere or do something?

You need to go to Luyten's Star and there to the Rescue Ship. Under Comunity Goal in the Mission Board you can finish the event and get the Credits, just did it myself ^^

I did. In fact those two were the first space-based games I played, real fun.

There is something else the Developers have borrowed from other Sci-fi game: The Scarab vehicle, at least the name, from Hostile Waters.

I don't think we're finished with the Thargoids and I will contribute but not the Titan thing.

A question regarding the newly unlocked CG frame shift drives:

So, apparently, they're double-engineered with fast charge (though it doesn't say that anywhere) and long range. In the systems panel in ship it shows them as G5 long range but with no special effect applied. But, when I went to an engineer to apply mass manager on one it said that it was already equipped with light weight special effect.

Now, as soon as I put the size 5 on my long-range Mandalay it bumped the range by several light years which made me smile and I really don't want to mess with that by applying mass manager and somehow removing the extra light years.

So, em... suggestions?

In the systems panel in ship it shows them as G5 long range but with no special effect applied. Now, as soon as I put the size 5 on my long-range Mandalay it bumped the range by several light years which made me smile and I really don't want to mess with that by applying mass manager and somehow removing the extra light years.

I suggest waiting until they hammer out the bugs. I remember that the old pre-eng FSDs had some trouble with applying Mass Manager. I wouldn't mess with engineering the new drives until you see a consensus that it's safe. Then again, someone has to be the early adopter / test subject, maybe that's you?
