Elite roleplay: Off station

OFF STATION

Your ship, deep space, anything that is not happening inside the Citi Gateway or Ingaba...

General Roleplay Etiquette:

1. Control only the actions of your own character(s). (AKA: God Mode)
This doesn't matter how small the action is, even if it is as simple as scratching their nose or a direct reaction to something else that just happened. This applies to everything from casual conversation to full blown fight scenes. If you'd like someone to do something specific, PM that person, however keep in mind they are completely within their rights to say no. Especially if said action is inappropriate to their character and/or circumstance.

2. Don't brute force your way into another persons RP.
Approaching with a conversation starter is fine, or indeed some other small action. However charging in, guns blazing and disrupting the flow of another person/pair/groups conversation/arc is about as rude as doing so in real life. If something is going on that you'd like to participate in, be subtle about it. Put out a gentle hook for someone to take, but again, be aware that said hook may not be taken. If you fear it was simply unnoticed, PM the person or people it concerns. Or even leave a message in the OOC forums.

3. Good grammar and spelling is preferred.
We're not asking you to be perfect, but please at least demonstrate willingness. no1 iz gna tak u srsly usng txt spk. There's a wide variety of people here, many who speak English as a second, or even third language. There are even some with varying degrees of dyslexia and/or likely other issues that affect spelling/grammar. We accept them all here. However, people who aren't accepted, are those unwilling to accept polite correction. Remember that even a small thing like the placement of a comma, or the wrong use of there/their/they're can completely change the definition of an entire sentence.

4. Accept constructive criticism gracefully and politely.
If someone spots an issue with your writings, they may wish to help you improve that writing. They may do this through PM or even publicly air their thoughts on the OOC forum. If they have taken the time to be polite and explain what is wrong with your writing, the best way to behave is to respond in kind, using the same manner they have approached you with. It means they have taken an active interest in what you have written and wish to see more. Basically, you have a fan!

5. Don't take the actions or opinions of things done IN RP, to be directly relevant to the writers thoughts or opinions.
Basically, if some ones character calls your character a jackass, it doesn't mean the writer thinks you are a jackass. It's a ROLE they are PLAYING. Watch a movie. The argument between the characters isn't an argument between the actors involved. The same applies here.

6. It's not a popularity contest.
Your RP might be bustling with participants. You have 3 people off station in a fire fight, while another 2 are infiltrating the darkest areas of the station, meanwhile a group of 4 others are tracking your movements in an effort to stop you. Good for you, I'm sure it will be a thrilling read! But you know what? Sometimes the absolute BEST work, comes from two RP characters having a simple heart to heart. Both are valid, both are great, but NEITHER is categorically better than the other. Period.

Inara RP Etiquette:

1. Respect the setting and rules of the universe.
Inara is an Elite: Dangerous 3rd Party Tool. The RP Forums are set in the Elite: Dangerous universe. Elite: Dangerous has rules, as any fictional universe does from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars, or Game of Thrones to Star Trek. If you intend to RP within the Elite: Dangerous universe you are bound by the history and rules of that universe. Simply put, this RP forum is bound by the same rules as the game, so if it can't be done in the game, it is not permitted here. This applies to things from a 50Ly Jump Range on a normal, unmodified Sidewinder, to the destruction of entire stations.

2. Respect the characters created by others.
We have a wide variety of characters already here. It's expected that some will be similar, just as it's expected that two characters will be vastly different. Opinions of each persons character will naturally be varied, but all are valid provided they follow the rules of the universe. You are allowed to interact with, or avoid interaction with, any character in the RP forums. But you have no right to belittle others for their creation. You are not an authority figure on writing, nor are you directly affected by another persons imagination. You might not like it, but you MUST respect it.

3. Be caught up on current events before joining in.
You need basic things like character descriptions in order to interact with them. You also need to know what's going on in the surrounding areas. This is simply because the people you are hoping to RP with, might be gearing up to something that you might not want to be part of. Or simply that the most recent post, out of context, could leave a different impression on the goings on than if you gather that context. We don't expect you to read every single post from the beginning of the forums, just enough to get that basic understanding.

4. Either subscribe to, or frequently check, the Roleplay: Q&A and OOC forum.
People may be discussing something relevant to you there, or even discussing you directly. Perhaps someone asked what the general consensus on the existence or non-existence of a certain object. Or we're just chatting about random gibberish. Either way, be aware of it and use it. If you're unsure about something, such as how guns would look and or behave, or even the music selection, use the OOC forum to ask. We don't have all of the answers, but the collective knowledge and logic usually allows us to overcome an issue and come to a decision on what should be allowed. Frontier Developments, and even David Braben himself, don't have the answers to every possible question that can be asked.

5. Large Scale events exploding out of nowhere are a complete no go.
We get it. Everyone wants their character to be noticed and for people to be tripping over themselves to interact with them. In some audiences, an introduction involving you blasting in for landing in a fiery wreckage of a ship, before cart wheeling out and sword fighting 35 Ninjas before whisking off with the local celebrity for a glorious night of passion, is in fact, cool. This is not one of those audiences. It is generally considered better to build your character up slowly over time. Eventually, you might even have a legitimate excuse to fight those Ninjas. Maybe even with other RP participants by your side.

6. Perfect characters are boring.
The point of a character arc, is that it is in fact, an arc shape. One who is morally unquestionable, fully kitted out and an infinite fountain of knowledge, cannot go through an arc. Give your character flaws. Be it a tendency towards befriending the wrong people, or a bad knee that frequently gives out at inopportune moments. It gives readers something to latch onto and empathise with. You can give your character exceptional capabilities at something, but it requires balance. She's a damn good pilot with no equal, but can't drive an SRV for peanuts. It can lead to some very interesting moments between characters, be it heartfelt or comedic.

Other Notes:
It should be noted that there can be exceptions to these points. For example, good grammar when a character is speaking is actually rare. Few people in real life actually speak with perfect eloquence after all. Or previously arranged actions during a fight scene, such as someone stumbling back after a punch. What's key to remember is context.

All in all, remember this is purely for fun. We have some seriously talented writers here, and others whose writing history starts and ends at high school. But many are willing to help out in whatever way they can. All it takes is that you ask nicely.

Also keep in mind that many people who RP here, also have logbook stories related to the character, or characters, they portray. If it looks like there's an "in joke" going on that you're unsure of, it's probably in those.

In fact, some users have even gone to the trouble of creating "alts" to RP with. If you read back far enough, it's usually pretty clear who has and hasn't, and which ones are the "alts". It's therefore not unheard of to see the apparent seizing of control of other characters. If you do spot one, point it out in the OOC section. If intervention is needed, it will be sorted quickly and (hopefully) politely.

Most, if not all RP participants here have Logbook stories pertaining to their character(s). These are for the reading pleasure of anyone who wishes to do so. While it can be useful to read them in order to gain a bit of backstory on a character you wish to interact with, it should not be assumed that your character shares that knowledge. Within the E:D Universe, these Logbooks either don't exist, or are private diaries kept by the characters. Either way, without explicit statements to say otherwise from the writer, your interactions should reflect that your character is in the dark about any information you, the writer/reader, have gained from reading the stories.

"Thank you. In that case, yeah, I totally liked the show, phah," I replied apologetically, but nonetheless with a sincere note of being amused by what I just have seen. "Yeah, I'm aware that I might be... Quite a sight. I don't give a single damn about other people, yet I don't want to make you feel uneasy, especially at your home."

"...And my pilot seat is a damn throne, I'd say, phah," a description of another 'customised' part got me back to the more light-hearted mood. "Remember that base piece that keeps the seat attached to the floor? Rectangular thing with some shock-dampening, adjustments, all that... Almost entirely a big solid chunk of metal now. And it's like trapezium, with its lower side being wider, to totally make sure it won't tip over. Damned thing cost me almost two m/s of top speed! Phah."

"So, yeah...", my voice returned to a more serious tone, a little quiet, but enough for Kasumi to hear me from a couple of metres away, "I wanted to say some serious stuff since I realised you might be my only friend at the moment. Other people are, like... I'm just a little above neutral with them, but I don't care mostly. But... I wasn't sure. Whether or not you want to hear it at all. And I want you to keep it a secret. Because... I don't feel quite right lying to my friend, I don't want to do it, but that's a fact I don't want any random people to know. At all."
01 Mar 2024, 12:50am
I raised an eyebrow.

"Okay ..."

Being nicely settled in, for now, into the poor couch - or sofa, whichever the correct word for the one with two arm rests was - I decided to not stand up just yet. And me squeezing back out would be a show in its own right. Or, really, any movement of mine probably was.

"The base of my own seat got reinforced too, I think. To account for me being a lot heavier, well... down here." I would've run hands along the sides of my hips, but since they were a bit squeezed into soft fabric at the moment, I decided not to. "Maybe the back support was too. I'm not sure. These... I think, weigh over ten kilograms, in normal Earth gravity. And I might avoid landing on high gravity worlds if I can. I'm not sure how much I could 'tolerate'. Maybe one point five."

To think I would weigh a hundred and eighty kilograms on a 1.5G world. It seemed hard to imagine. And I definitely wanted to avoid tackling into people... at least, by accident. The only person I could probably jokingly do it to was this other, differently oversized person in the room with me. And if I started from a slightly higher point to where that mass could actually take effect properly.

I stood up now, the single seater almost sighing in relief at the torture being over. Maybe air was getting sucked back into the spaces that I had pressed it out of... and there was quite an imprint visible, which I observed, in both the arm rests and the actual cushion. Not to mention the marks of previous 'dropping into the seat' experiences, though they were less than five still.

Going back over to the wide one, even there, the imprint I'd left behind - supported by Duamta 4's 1.3Gs - hadn't quite evened back out yet. I sat down in a slightly different spot, now, where there was actually a pillow still available to further use as a back rest. Which caused the imprint to smooth out further as material shifted to accommodate me. I looked at Ina and waited, with an expecting look on the face, hands placed beside the hips. Maybe some light was reflecting off of the crystal-like appearance of my eyes, or rather the iris at the center of each one, causing them to look shiny. Or shinier.
01 Mar 2024, 1:37am
A few deep heavy breaths sounded as a signal that I'm ready to tell the none less heavy stuff.

"Totally like your new eyes, by the way. They're brilliant. Sooo..."

A couple more deep breaths as everything within me braced for impact. It wasn't like that first evening in VR with Mion, of course, yet quite close to it: I had no backup plan, no retreat options and what I was about to say could've been used to harm my, at least, reputation. Greatly. I knew it was merely a couple of seconds to her, but the amount of thoughts raced through my mind was worth several minutes of intense brainstorming. And the more I thought, the more opposite my options looked. I could've just waved my hand and said 'ah, forget it, nevermind' but I didn't want to make my only friend upset and I hated every moment of lying to her. Yet the whole idea of letting that out was... Uncomfortable. At best. But, I was already well past the point of no return, the point that I set by myself actually, so, no one else to blame.

"So, yeah... I want to keep it secret because, if misused or just randomly dropped in presence of other people, it could harm my reputation severely and put me into shit I don't want to deal with. I wanted to tell you anyway, but not today, since you still have your hands full with recovery, and having other peoples' shit unloaded on you isn't going to do any good. But I hate every fraction of a second of lying, especially to you."

One more deep breath.

"There was no progenitor cell overdose, that's a crap made up bullshit legend I keep for people who ask too much. No progenitor cell treatment at all, they tried it but I was fading too fast. And, it can't magically glue your spine if it's broken in like ten places. My body was done for, all my organs except the brain and the heart had failed."

"So... I'm not exactly human anymore. The only organic, original part left is the brain. And a bit of the upper spinal column sticking out of it, to connect with the body. Everything else... Non-magnetic alloy for bones, synth bionic tissues for skin and muscles, and nanomechanics for blood cells. And many other interesting things."

"And this...", I tapped my forehead with my index finger a few times, "...is armoured like heck."

I paused for a few seconds, letting the words sink better.

"So. Yeah. Something like that. But, you know... If you ever build that house on the ammonia planet, I could be your first guest. Or even help you with the construction work, phah."
01 Mar 2024, 2:19am
"Hm ..." I stroked my chin in combination with that thoughtful sound - I could do that even without a beard, which I luckily was spared ever having the experience of, and I preferred smooth, mostly hair-free skin anyway. "I thought there was something off, about the eyes, back in the bedroom."

I wasn't exactly sure how or when I'd noticed. Maybe it was just subconsciously there due to the implant at least attempting to provide some kind of heightened awareness, alongside it doing its level best to compensate for the brain functions or capacity I lost due to damage, possibly permanently. And that "looking almost human" remark had brought it to my attention, a sort of snapshot memory of something about the eyes changing, despite there being no change in the lighting conditions within the room - other than the funny glyph on my right hand, which would not be sufficient at all beyond right around where my hand was, in a near pitch-black room.

"And that the story about the... 'progenitor cells' was strange. If that could happen with them, they would not be a... commonly used medical thingy. Device?" I made a circle in the air with a hand, then placed it back in its spot beside the hips. "You... know it. And... I understand, wanting to hide. There is... a new memory, about me doing the same. Only sharing with close people. Friends. But... Aegis shared it. To try getting me found, for my own good. And I maybe just don't want to hide it. Anyone who has problems... is not someone I want to be near, anyway. So I will not tell, and try to remember not to. Unless allowed. And maybe you could visit if I build a house on one, but ammonia might be corrosive, to you. And ships."

I gave it a moment before asking that other important question on my mind. Since my question about the head - or brain, rather, which came up almost immediately - had been answered, I didn't feel like there was a point of going into that.

"But... how did this happen, exactly?"
01 Mar 2024, 3:27am
"Ah, the eyes... But, how? And what did you notice?", honestly, I've been quite baffled since I, personally, spent an hour inspecting high-resolution photos of them back at home. Because I'm the same paranoid (maybe) and I wanted to be sure they look absolutely human. Okay, maybe 'altered human' since humans can't have violet eyes naturally, but changing the colour is quite an easy procedure, and has been for centuries.

"I've been told it's indistinguishable to any external observers... And even starport scanners. What I did is I tried to look at you... And that... Thargoid sign on your hand, using IR and thermal spectrum. Thinking that the sign might emit something more than visible light, but it doesn't. And your body temperature, because I was curious, given the colour."

"And, how..." I made a long exhale and looked at nowhere, unfocused. That was a long story and shortening it seemed to be quite a challenge. "Other thing that I told you, that the generator explosion almost turned me into mist, was true. And, that's a long story..."

"A simple assignment to follow a bunch of Far God cultists and get to know what they were up for. Turned out to be an Azimuth complex nobody had any idea about. Even the cultists: they were led to an ambush. Kind of, rogue Azimuth group, secret as heck. Human experimentation, concentration camps, tortures, armed fanatics, cloning, dead bodies everywhere, all that Azimuth kind of fun. Everything on a jungle planet, hidden, no signals out."

"We spent five days in that hell, searching for their head facility to get the plans of the entire complex, so that the main force could rescue the captives and then delete that place from the map. Was pinned down, along with what was left of the platoon of soldiers assigned to me, and our comms were suppressed. Outnumbered fifteen to one, everyone's wounded, running out of ammo. Couldn't call for help, couldn't even transmit the location to the strike group."

"Got the headman of that lab cornered in the powerplant building, personally, one to one. But he was a friggin mutant, fast as heck, and regenerating. Not too long before, I shot his arm off only to see it regrowing, like, a fifth of its length in ten minutes. And, I was out of ammo already. And wounded too. And we were both blocked there, that fuck trapped the entrance corridor. And the whole building was covered by those... Thargoid-like tentacles, inside. Not just a power plant, but his lair. So, with my soldiers dying every minute, strike team having no idea where we are, and that nutjob in the blast radius too, without any armour... I told the reinforcements that the explosion on the ground is their landmark."

"I don't know. Maybe my half-Thargoid eyes with their... weird technology inside, can see things like that better. I don't think anyone 'normal' would even notice. And I'm not sure how I did. Maybe it was something in the implant?"

I shrugged. It wasn't like I had a good explanation or that much of an understanding of how I worked, as a strange mixture of not just human and Thargoid genetic material, but also biotechnology throughout all of that mess.

"And that Azimuth... thing... they really have not changed, have they? Seo is convinced they are not different. And some of my logs from last year say the same. That they even wanted to use me for their... whatever the project was, to make humans fly Thargoid ships. I found it somewhere near the edge of the 'Bubble'. Maybe they got their wish, in some weird way. But I might be too weird for them now."

I looked down at my body in a hinting way, and scoffed a little.

"They are stupid. Does anyone believe their lies? They have done barely anything useful during the war. And now they are probably trying to revive that dumb guy 'Salvation'."

I had to restrain myself to not spit out the name too much, because some of it might have landed where I didn't want it to. I gave Ina a hinting look, as if to say "We can talk about and get annoyed at this, but not too much". Then another, almost forgotten question circled into my mind before poofing out of existence.

"But why did you not leave that place when you saw it was that big?"
01 Mar 2024, 8:26am
"Uhhh... Yeah, okay, thank you... I guess I should be careful with those spectrums when people look directly at me, phah. Might as well do a video recording, like, maybe the static picture doesn't show everything..."

"So, yeah. Phah," I tilted my head and grinned jokingly, looking at Kasumi. "You're talking to a machine. Happens, in our crazy times."

"Anyway... That's all, kind of... Saddening. First, that you were subjected to so much shit you didn't even ask for. And that Aegis had to share what you were hiding, as a last ditch effort to find you. We had to especially monitor the biosignatures to make sure you'd make it to the transport... Doesn't mean that we left right away. I told people that we're staying until all of our transports are full."

"And we were attacked on our way back. Guess who? Friggin bloody Azimuth," I spread my arms and stretched my lips in a gesture of pure irony. "Killed one of our pilots. The fuckers are just the worst. But, yeah, I had my revenge... Giving some of their shit scientists a pistol shot to the forehead kind of promotion. And, we deleted like more than a hundred of their goons going through that complex..."

A slightly vicious smirk appeared on my face for a little moment, and then I continued.

"Why didn't we leave the planet right away? Like... First, we were there for answers. Second, that planet was a death trap. They used a tricky comm system maintaining a complete silence on FTLs, no way to pick up anything from the orbit... And we had just one dropship for our squad. We couldn't risk being detected, first outgoing FTL signal and we would've been spotted and surrounded, and their ships would've torn apart our one. And we didn't know how big that thing was, actually. Four layers of security... With lower level employees having no idea about what was happening elsewhere, they didn't even have those facilities on their maps. And the roads were all twisted and messed up. Roads... Mud tracks in the jungle. Everything hidden under treetops. And the clouds are so dense that, from down below, they look like a concrete wall, and, from the orbit, you can't even spot a single blot of green. On a jungle planet. And the rain is neverending."

"Soo... Our only way was forward. Finding the main compound, extracting the schematics of that entire place, geo-coordinates of every facility, and calling for help. To ensure the rescue of every captive, and the destruction of every single shack those Azimuth arseholes had built. In a single strike, not giving them time to react, retreat and regroup. Otherwise... It was too easy for them to evacuate their masterminds, burn every piece of evidence down to the ground along with the victims, lay low and restart later, if they notice a significant threat, not a single platoon of soldiers."

"Azimuth... It's still a mystery to me: how a bunch of people might be such fuckwits."

“I don’t know… maybe no one told them what compassion means in school?”

I shrugged in a, slightly desperate, ‘I don’t know how to rationalize it any better either’, way.

“But I am… glad, to know that it was right. They are not to be trusted, even if they say they are. Apparently… they offered to ‘help’ me last year. And I said no, not trusting them. Something I seem to have mentioned in logs.”

I looked at my newfound, or perhaps just rediscovered, ‘friend’. Whatever I knew what to do with the word itself… it definitely didn’t seem to be something I was too familiar with.

“Would a surface scanner not have worked? One of those things you use to send probes to a planet and it sends data back to the ship. Finding things that could be down there.”

I had a suspicion I knew what that answer would be, but figured the question better posed than left unanswered.

“And I am… a part machine, too, now. It might… not even be that far, to not look human any longer. But I still act ‘human’. I hope it stays like this. And …”

Another extensive look was thrown at the figure of the other idiot with a weird body shape, or rather height.

“Why two and a half meters, not two?”

Maybe I’d asked already, and simply forgot. I moved my hands on to my thighs - which made them look tiny in comparison - also wondering what the view of them fighting for space in the center, while I was sat with them as close to one another as possible, looked like to an onlooker. And she was definitely still high enough even when sat, to see that.
01 Mar 2024, 1:30pm
"I saw one of their 'schools'... They don't have compassion in their curriculum," I scowled a little. "At least our strike team has made sure their teachers are now experts in high-temperature and molecular physics."

"And, the surface scanning... They minimised their emissions to, literally, being almost invisible. That was the point. And we were instructed to follow the cultists' ship a few minutes behind and hit the ground after them. To, like... See them in person and ask things. Arrest those from any terrorist branches. Nobody, except Azimuth themselves, knew about the ambush and the complex... The cultists were led by a mole in their ranks, an Azimuth agent. To their deaths. Or worse."

"Uhhh... I can't say it's a particularly unpleasant thing to remember, at least personally, but, yeah. To give you a hint about what kind of shit we witnessed there: some folks from the rescue teams are in line for counselling now."

"Anyway...", I left my place at the side of the couch and stretched out on the floor, maybe even with a bit of the same childish behaviour that I saw in Kasumi, "These two-point-five numbers were taken directly from the VR setup. A weird experiment that had gone out of hand in the best way possible and it was simply mind-blowing. So, knowing the taste of the best, you don't want to go for second best."
01 Mar 2024, 2:24pm
“Hm …”

That thoughtful sound came out more instinctively than intentionally.

“I read about those cultists. Their religion. They are strange. Apparently, I met them and was allowed on one of their ships, too. But nothing useful came from it. They even had a statue of me and Seo, under a bigger monument showing the cloud of a Titan. Though I can’t quite remember what it looked like. I wonder what they think when it looks like we might be winning this war?”

I moved off to the side to give the extra long legs of my visitor space… while somewhat noticing the cushion under me shifting to where I was shuffling my big body. Maybe I would also have to consider two pillows instead of one as lower back support here, since the disproportionate nature of my form meant leaning back a lot more to achieve the same pose.

“But that place does not sound pretty. Maybe I don’t want to know what they were doing there, but I am curious, too.”

Despite my hesitation. I looked around for an extra pillow, but the ones left were on the other end of the couch. And I was too lazy to go grab them, so I left it be after thinking about and partly beginning to move that way.

“How is the view from, down there? And I guess I liked being big, very big, even more than I thought, when this is fine. I did train in VR for some of my learning how to move, but I did more here, in… ‘reality’. And fighting more in VR.”
01 Mar 2024, 8:42pm
"Yep", I made an ironic smirk, "Those cultists are nuts. But... They are mostly harmless, at least, you know... Indirectly," drawing a few vague lines in the air, like an investigator connecting the dots, I haven't instantly figured out that it might've been looking quite odd considering that I've been horizontal on the floor. "If you don't count for their propaganda that leads people into that suicidal kind of... Religion. Yet some branches are quite radical and may be recognised as terrorists."

"We wanted to find out what they were doing there, as it might've pointed at some Thargoid activity we had no idea about yet, or some knowledge. Neither of these, the cultists were victims themselves."

"And, yeah... Can't remember the last time I spent flat horizontal on the floor because now there's not enough space in my room, phah. At least, in VR, you could set up almost every environment you want at the moment. So, did you say, VR fighting training? And how's it going?"

My curiosity turned out to be more powerful than the foolish wacky compulsive wish to stretch out on the floor, so I got up to more adequate sitting, in order to... Ah, I heard her well anyway. Maybe at least to show that exact curiosity.
01 Mar 2024, 10:00pm
“The training is… going good. For what I can still do. The physical doctor who looks after me is encouraging me to do what I can, but that I will just have lost mobility only because of how big these …” I looked down at my thighs. “… are. He says I can maybe get up to seventy percent of my original mobility. Or maybe it is seventy percent of the average… I don’t recall. I am currently at sixty-five, but I started around fifty. So… I had to learn how to use me being big to my advantage. Instead of try to fight as I used to. Like I said… earlier. I think I said, at least.”

I looked at her, at least a little more directly. I usually had my gaze focused a little lower than the face on any human, and it also had a tendency to wander elsewhere than their body for no better reason than wandering around.

“I did ask how the ‘view’ from down there was, when you were flat. But you didn’t answer.”
01 Mar 2024, 11:18pm
"The view? Ah, the view, sorry... Do you mean the view of you or, like, what? If it's about you then... well..."

Making a theatrical pause, I looked at Kasumi with my eyebrow raised and hands slowly forming two finger-pistols pointed at her. Once it was complete, I finished the description with a lively, quick voice.

"...It's difficult to see your face entirely from down there and you know why! Phaaaah!...", and an outburst of giggling limited my capacity to speak for a little while.

"And, yeah, regarding your mobility and all that stuff...", back to the more serious tone, "Obviously, you don't have so much of it now but that isn't always inherently bad. You have become heavier, so using the mass and inertia properly has more priority now. Like... See..."

I scratched the back of my head, messing the hair a bit.

"I'm not an expert in any martial arts, I don't know many tricks they learn, but I can punch and kick, quite hard. Also, pull, lift, throw, press stuff against walls and floors and all that. And my own weight and inertia have been helping me with that, for my entire life. And, speaking of more common applications, like, doing your daily casual stuff... You shouldn't have any problems at all. Except, well, things that don't fit you because of your body... Same goes for me though."
01 Mar 2024, 11:46pm
“I don’t know if I know too much about martial arts. Maybe I used to, but right now… it might just be simple things. Like targeting the wrist. How hard do you think I could kick now? Because… it might be less mobile, but I can lift the legs up that much, still.”

I scratched a spot on my head that felt itchy, too. Though it was near where the implant seemed to be, making me careful to avoid touching where it was.

“I thought the view would be like that, up to my chest. But what about here?”

"I'd say... No matter how many tricks they know, bashing them real hard has never let me down, phah. If they don't understand, just hammer 'em again!"
