We don’t really care much about how many players Inara reports us as having. Most of that number is the count of folks who have been and gone over the years. The important number to us is how many are active players. CMDRs who turn up in our Discord and in game, to hang around and learn seriously good stuff from each other.

We have a pass it on, kind of approach to players we encounter. And, as we play mostly in open, we do come across them from time to time. I say mostly, because we use our own private group (PG) server when we are practicing or training for new missions; things like the upcoming Thargoid ground invasion missions for instance.

We have old players and not so old players, we have hugely talented and experienced players. Triple Elite level 5 players flying around in game, with totally wet behind the ear's players, some of whom are also part of the, been flying around on my own, learning things as I go, players.
We are a really mixed bag, that’s for sure. But there is one thing that just makes it work. We all love playing Elite.
We don’t care what part of the world you are in. We don’t care about pretty much most things. But we do care about our servers in game and discord. Why?
Well, we all have real lives, we have wives, kids, grandkids, jobs. All that stuff. So, we don’t care two hoots whether you make it on every day or once every blue moon. For us, RL comes first.

That however, does not stop us from flying Team missions, enjoying  a right good laugh together while we do it.
We get into the BGS elements of Elite, with players learning that dark craft if they want to, but, at varying degrees of McSketchyness. We like the systems we inhabit and the way they work.
