As a young girl, she was seperated from her parents during a pirate raid of her home, where she was taken and sold as a slave on the Imperial markets. After many hard years of childhood slavery, she was eventually bought and freed by a kind man in the Federation. This man cared for and looked after her and many like her, becoming a second father to Kaitlyn.

Swearing revenge on pirates and The Empire, once she was old enough, she joined the Federal Navy as a junior pilot, completing menial data transfer missions. When one day, she was attacked by a handful of pirates during a mission, to which she successfully fended them off long enough for help to arrive. Proving to be adept at piloting a spacecraft, she quickly raised through the ranks completing bounting hunting and wetwork missions as well as fighting for the Federation (or any other faction that pays) in conflict zones when called upon.
