Roman Reese Sharpe was born on 15th June, 3264, in the Colonia system. His father, Rico Andreas Sharpe, was an independent miner; his mother,  Samantha Everly Sharpe (nee Taylor) had worked as a Combat Engineer for the Federation.  The majority of Roman's early life was spent on board the 'Red Radish', a Type-9 Heavy, and the family home. Roman has two siblings; a younger sister, Mia Lily Sharpe (3267) and a younger brother, Jackson Owen Sharpe (3270).

Family History
Rico Sharpe worked a variety of jobs before saving enough credits to purchase a secondhand Type-9 Heavy. After spending a couple of years as a private cargo hauler, Rico outfitted the Type-9 as a mining vessel, thus fulfilling a long held ambition to travel to the Colonia system and join the ever growing mining rush. Whilst working as a cargo hauler, Rico travelled to a host of stations and systems and built up a network of friends and acquaintances, who would later become his eyes and ears in regards to searching for rich mining hotspots. During this time, Rico also met Mia Taylor, who was working as a combat engineer, serving aboard a Federation Station. Rico and Mia married and after falling pregnant, they set off for the Colonia system to start a family and a new life together.

Chasing the Dream
Over the course of the following years, the family expanded to include a daughter and another son and as a family the Sharpe's travelled the black, having their fair share of adventures, and catastrophes along the way.  The high's, such as the time they struck lucky and found an asteroid rich in Indite. The profits from this enabled them to complete some much needed repairs to the Red Radish, as well as upgrading a few creature comforts. Roman remembers these times fondly, his father's never ending optimism and his mother's talent at keeping the now ailing Red Radish in working condition.
