"I like you, so that should be your name."

The words continued to echo aggressively around AlayQ's head, but he was used to it by now. Everything about him seemed to smell of sweet fragrance and a formal woman's blouse of magenta and lace could just barely be caught in the corner of his eye. He didnt turn to see it, though. He knew the woman who wore it wasn't there. It was a ghost; a shadow of the mind reminding him that she was always watching, perhaps even waiting for him. Maybe she would like that fried sweet thing he found back in Suzuki terminal?

"HEY! AlayQ!"

"I like you too!" AlayQ replied comically, just before a missile siren went off on the cockpit. No dodging this one, but luckily the shields were still up, the targets were less than experienced pirates. The impact made the shield dissipate and the cockpit lights went red. "Sorry! I SPACED out. Hah!" This was dangerous, but not THAT dangerous, so AlayQ kept his chipper attitude. His wing-mate didn't think it was particularly funny that AlayQ zoned out in the middle of a dog-fight with a pirate gang, but he was used to it by now.

AlayQ had recently shown up on the doorstep of a group calling themselves "Tengu Squad" requesting to see "The Princess". Most thought he was speaking about the affluent Princess of the Empire, Aisling Duval, but AlayQ didn't seem to even know who she was. Regardless, several of the squad's members seemed to be in the Empire's good graces, and AlayQ needed to find the Princess, so contact with the most well known Princess in space would likely help. Alayo asked to be signed up to Tengu Squad, and preformed admirably. Whenever motivated by The Princess, AlayQ did his job with all his heart. AlayQ began to mainly serve as a tactical courier for Tengu Squad's less violent operations. His obsession with the "Princess" entity kept him away often, but when his obsession and Tengu's goals align, AlayQ is fiercely loyal and tenacious, perhaps to a fault. This is particularly when Tengu and the Empire are working together, as AlayQ feels a connections to Princess Aisling Duval will bring him a step closer to finding his Princess.

AlayQ first appears in galactic records during a traffic infraction at [redacted]. While attempting to land on the station after having just taken off, AlayQ was found guilty of blocking a launch pad he was not cleared to land on. AlayQ did not seem to understand protocol involving take-off and docking, speed regulations or system-wide alerts. A Background check revealed nothing; literally. AlayQ most certainly seemed to exist, as there was a ship registered to him and all proper data was available to confirm him as the owner. However, beyond the ship, AlayQ had no record of birth, place of residence, or affiliation with major factions of the locale or nearby locales. While it was hard to confirm whether to incarcerate AlayQ for illegal flight operations and citizenship, the mind-boggling details about him drove the prosecutors to simply demand he take flight lessons.

During interrogation, AlayQ was first asked his name, pronounced (ah-Lie-keew). AlayQ was pressed about the name, and he explained the "Princess" gave him that name. It is apparently part of his old name, but he spent so much time with her that he forgot what his real name was. This led to his initial imprisonment, as the Federation officers assumed he had meant the Princess of the Empire. When this turned out to be false, and his birth records (or lack thereof) came in, the federal officers eventually became fed-up and let AlayQ go with a fine and mandatory piloting classes. After the flight lessons, AlayQ began his obsessive search for the mysterious entity known as "The Princess".

AlayQ's travels brought him to intersect with several of Tengu Squad's piliots. He followed them home like a lost puppy and joined as soon as he could. AlayQ insists that the Princess is either planning to be join Tengu Squard, or simply hasn't found them yet and will certainly do so. She is, after all, their Princess, according to AlayQ. When asked for her name, he couldn't provide one. He only ever referred to her as "Lady" or "Princess". That's all he needed. She was all he needed, not her name, or her hobbies or her likes and dislikes. More perplexing is AlayQ's insistence that the Princess is the "Princess of Tengu Squad", and the assumption that everyone already knows this "fact".

Currently AlayQ does small jobs and the occasional clean-up of small-time pirates for Tengu Squad, while applying most of his time to finding the Princess and promoting Tengu Squad's agenda and name in hopes the Princess might find him.
