At the age of fifty, he finally decided to make his dream a reality. He left the insurance industry he’d known all his working life and spent his retirement money on piloting lessons, then a small starship. Putting the knowledge of trading he’d gained by reading the accounts and logs of other commanders to good use, he began to build his own trading business; buying more and bigger ships and rising through the ranks of both Federal and Imperial auxilliary navies in the process.
