Ben Petrovich born September 7th, 3283 is an independent pilot of the Pilots Federation who served in the Federation Navy from 3300 to 3303.

After graduating, he worked multiple civilian jobs in New California, Epsilon Eridani. After a economical withdraw, Ben found himself unemployed and unable to re-join the workforce. Ben, then, decided to join the Federation Navy as an opportunity to travel the galaxy, meet new people and try for a better quality of life.

Ben's naval career began as a recruit on the FNS Hawke as a dropship pilot, and continued for a couple of years until some time after the Federation withdrawn from the Pleiades Nebula in 3303. While serving, Ben took part in several skirmishes and battles, most notably during the events known as The Return, where he rapidly rose through ranks for saving several lives during the battles against the Thargoids. On October 6, 3303, the Federation had completely withdrawn its ships from the Pleiades Nebula, ending the Federal-Imperial cold war over meta-alloys. As his tour of duty had ended, Ben took the oportunity and piloting experience gained to pursue a a new life as a independent pilot.

Having made lots of contacts and allies during his time in the Federation, Ben rose quickly through the ranks of the Pilots Federation, achieving the rank of Elite by the end of 3304. Having received the honor of being nominated a elite-ranked pilot, Ben was invited to Shinrarta Dezhra by the Pilots Federation. By mid 3305, Ben had completely established himself on Founder's World where he began working towards building a small fleet of ships.

By the end of 3306, Ben decided to take under his wing a small team of six other independent pilots and became their mentor. Seeing the rapid development of his protégés, Ben decided to recruit them and form a squadron which was be known as the Inner Circle. However, it quickly dissolved due to the members interests shifting.

As of 3310, Ben has been living a quiet and reclusive life, awaiting their next assignment.
