Elan Cochavi, was born august 4th, 3282 on the federal planet, Mars. Elan was born to a Jewish family that had deep roots in the federal navy.
As a kid, Elan showed great potential in the pilot academy and was invited to join the Pilots Federation, where he was exposed to imperial ideology.
At age 19, Elan was given his pilots federation licence and was granted a sidewinder. Disappointed of his choice to join the empire, his father gave him the disgraced name - "Goma".
He would go on to carry this name to his pilots id, so he would never forget that no matter how far they may be, his family is in the federation.

After a year's time of serving the empire, Elan was granted the rank of Barron in the imperial navy. When the Thargoid threat seemed inevitable, Elan decided to join the Lavingy's Legion.
This gave him an opportunity to be a bigger part in imperial society, and be able to serve his Emperor in a more magnificent way.
