Jubei Himura, inquisitor of the Kamadhenu Chapterhouse of Inquisition. He's a field operative, if you can call the galaxy a field. This inquisitor is known to be a thorn in the side of corrupt individuals and groups, especially to the people who prey on Imperial slaves. While he would like to live his life as a hero, he'd be the first to say that he's a flawed man. He's got a temper, and when it goes off, bad things happen.

Jubei is a warrior-poet with a strong sense of personal honour. He lives by a warrior code that states that one's own actions are what dictates one's honour. Due to this, he has a great respect for truth, honesty, and being direct. Unfortunately, his blunt directness often offends and puts him at odds with those in the upper echelons of Imperial society.

He is often seen as a gruff loner, who angers easily. Jubei hates when those in power abuse the weak and innocent, especially when children are involved. Despite his angry exterior, Jubei has a soft spot for kids, often taking it upon himself to mentor and protect any around him. He is often irreverent and rebellious towards authority figures, though he is a reliable ally and capable (but reluctant) leader. Jubei has also occasionally displayed a wry, sarcastic, and sometimes silly sense of humor.

The Inquisitor doesn't always achieve victory. In fact, his body is a virtual map of his failures. Jubei refuses to cosmetically fix the battle scars on his torso (scars being something Imperial society greatly shuns), because every scar is a reminder of a failure he had to (or must currently) overcome. Indeed, his mission failures and failures in life are closely noted by many in the Imperial echelons. However, many people who worked for a long time with Jubei have gone on record praising the man for his situational assessment and quick thinking under fire. Something that many have attributed to dumb luck.
