Character personality:

Otis is a very direct person. He always gets straight to the point and also tries to tackle problems directly. He is always honest with everyone and expects the same from others. However, his character really only comes out when it is necessary. Otherwise Otis remains the silent observer. However, he is also very temperamental. If you provoke Otis long enough, you have already started a fire that is difficult to extinguish. He also has a relatively naive attitude towards humanity. But life in the big black has taught him that his attitude is not always successful. The Empire in particular has strict forms of behavior, traditions and expectations. So if need be, Otis is not afraid to get his hands dirty if it means success.

Friends and family are very important to him. He had a very strong bond with his father, who died. Otis is still having a hard time because of that. He has a very flat but also warm relationship with his mother. Probably because he sees her too rarely. He chooses his friends carefully because he likes to keep his relationships forever. He keeps even his work colleagues close to his heart and always tries to be there for everyone.



Origin story:

Otis grew up on the Walker Orbital in L 639-45 and wanted to be a pilot of the Pilot's Federation from an early age. His mother Yasmin is an famous explorer and researcher. She even has a small crew for her exploration ship the ASP Explorer "Silver Equinox". His father Ronald served as an Imperial Baron but defected to the Federal Navy. He served the Federation as an Lieutenant Commander on the Federal Gunship "F.C.S. Reptile". His father was killed in action on the 21st of May 3305 when his troop countered a pirate attack in Borann. He died at the Age of 53.

After Otis was 21 years old, he made his Pilot's Federation license. He got his own Sidewinder and started his career with small missions like mining ore or destroying smaller pirate ships and some data delivery missions.
He had some trouble here and there with some pirate factions but nothing too serious. After he earned a little bit of money he bought a Cobra MKIII because the Sidewinder wasn't really a reliable ship in combat situations. So he continued doing missions with his new Cobra MKIII and he even could take down some smaller pirate wings now.
But on one of these missions in the Zavijah system, something went wrong and a small delivery mission became a fight for survival. Otis had sensitive data for the Federation, which should earn him a fair amount of credits. But pirates and agents of the Imperial Navy also targeted these datas. It was pure hell and Otis just wanted to get out of there and tried to escape with his new Cobra MKIII. He barely made it to the next starport and his ship was heavily damaged.
He sold his data to the Federation Navy and with all the money he had earned so far, he bought a new ship: a Vulture.
He was looking for revenge but he knows that he could not take them down on his own. So he asked his old childhood friend "Tsavo" who is also an combat veteran to support him on his revenge trip and without even questioning anything, he agreed.
Both of them equipped their ships for combat. Tsavo with his trusty Corvette and Otis with his new Vulture. After researching and bribing they found the pirate group that almost killed Otis and luckily the pirate chief had a big bounty on his head. They went into their territory and killed all of them without even loosing their shields. After that they went to the Wheelock Ring to get the bounty and they heard those pirates where a pest in that system. Tsavo and Otis where doing them a big favor for killing those pirates and became relatively famous for that.

Shortly after those events Tsavo and Otis separate again and Otis began his career as an race pilot in the T7 Race & Entertainment organization. He did pretty well as an racing pilot and even won 13 out of 21 Tournaments but because of not enough founding the T7 had to close their race sub-organization and Otis didn't feel like joining a different team, so he was on his own again.

Now he was looking for an Organisation he can participate in in hopes of more credits and companionship.
He was employed as an COO at Infinite Corporation for a long time and got to know a lot of his current contacts there. The Infinite Corporation was a major contributor to local commerce at the time. But after some time and after internal restructuring, Otis left the Infinite Corporation. At a later point he was the Sovereign Emperor of the Imperial Special Task Group, which in turn lead the Ocellus Fleet. This fleet was directly subordinate to the ISTG and its leaders in the hierarchy. The primary task of the Ocellus Fleet was to serve the ISTG as a logistical means or as a war fleet. But after the ISTG betrayed the Ocellus Fleet and they got banished from imperial space. The Ocellus Fleet never really recovered from the setbacks.
