The Father of the last remaining Family Vessel of the "Families of The Way " , little is actually known about Commander Chaum-b'oath, aka Calias Nylan Chaum-b'oath the 9th of His Name. Earning his nickname 'Chumboat' from the fact that as a newborn he was found upon the Great Family Vessel (GFV) 'Faith in Restoration' which, due to a hull rupture sustained while trying to escape an unknown race of aliens, was spilling bodies like a boat dropping chum for the ancient sharks in old Earth waters. The GFV Faith in Restoration was the last of the Great Family Vessels, capable of carrying close to half a million Believers. GFV Faith in Restoration was found in the Pleione system, on a run to Maia.

After growing up on the space freight lanes until he could afford his first Vessel, Young Calais began a new Family.

Now, Father Chumboat and his crew of family members roams the Galaxy, searching for others of the Way of The Family.
Or barring that, spreading the Word to those with open ears.
