Farm life ain't easy, but damn does it get boring after a while.  And after living most of his early life on the farm in the Rural United States, Michael decided to set out for the stars, taking his savings and buying a ticket off world.

He had always had a strong sense of justice, so he took to hunting bounties like a fish to water.  Especially once he got into his first ship, the sidewinder he called "Landshark", after the defense of his favorite football team, the Ole Miss Rebels.  After turning in numerous bounties worth a good deal of money, he now owns 4 ships, the Landshark, his eagle Mk. II which he named "Normandy", an Imperial Eagle he called "Iwo Jima" (he named both ships after important, historical battles in World War II), and the Viper Mk. III, the "Deplorable 1", something he picked at random.

After a while, though, he made his way from Federation space, to the Empire, where he found himself setting up a business of his own, SPECTRE Services Ltd., which specializes in freight hauling, as well as taking out any pesky pirate lord that may need a dose of vacuum.  His fleet has improved, and he's found a home port in Biruni Port in Niflhel, finally finding his niche, and making a life for himself.

Don't mistake his southern accent for stupidity, though.  He'll gladly have you sucking vacuum, courtesy of the multi cannons on his ships.
