An Empire-born man from Synteini A 2, CMDR Kaparov is the sole male heir to the Kaparov family and son of Patron Kaparov, a representative for agriculture and tourism in the Synteini system. CMDR Kaparov started his journey in 3301 after serving as a mechanic and copilot for his father's passenger transport vessel, the Courier I, for much of his pre-Pilots Federation career. Upon completion of his certification, Kaparov purchased an Adder as his first ship and sought riches among the unexplored stars along a straight path to Sagittarius A*.

By 3305, he was the squadron commander for an enigmatic group of pilots known as the Rasa Network and in the years following the group's founding he and his crew helped spread the influence of the Outer Systems Liberation Movement from 4 Camelopardalis to Tiraon. It was near this time that the Thargoids began their invasion into Bubble Space and it was then that the Liberation Movement seemed to pause; the reach of OSLM and the activities of the Rasa Network stopped dead in their tracks, and the influence of both waned in the years that followed.

CMDR Kaparov's most recent undock was in the latter half of 3010, though where he went or what he left to do remains unknown at this time.
