Born on Sol in 3275, CMDR Bauer received his first commission from the Pilots Federation on March, 3301. He initially worked as a data courier around the Eravate system until he found work as an independent trader specializing in rare goods and mining. He joined the Distant Worlds II Expedition in 3305 acting as a surveyor and miner, extracting raw materials for the construction of Explorer's Anchorage, an Ocellus Starport located in the Stuemeae FG-Y d7561 system, near Sagittarius A*.
