CMDR CrazyGolm is one of the Independent Defence Agency’s legendary Commanders. Younger compared to many of his counterparts, he is nonetheless a brave and courageous pilot who has gained much combat experience over the years of his career. Despite all this, what is perhaps most striking about him is his attitude: he is perseverant and loyal, but also surprisingly kind, thoughtful and gentle for a combatant. He fights for what is right, but he tries to love, not hate, his enemies even as he fights them. All this is rooted in his faith as a Christian, which shapes everything he is.

Golm's adventures (and misadventures) have placed him at odds with mega-armed pirates, irresponsible outlaws, and extremist law enforcers alike. It is said that he has even had brushes with the so-called "Club". At the turning point of the Second Thargoid War, at the climactic assault on Taranis, Golm was there.
