Pikkoro is an imperial noble and pledged to Princess Aisling Duval. His title is called Lord commander (A combination of nobility and military rank). His ancestors are german and he comes from a system, where the german culture is still present. He supports the high values of the empire of honor, respect, loyality. The Lord commander is stationed at the Nova Imperiums head quarter as an attaché of Aisling - a military ambassador. So he wears the tag of the Nova Imperium, while he is actually a vassal of Aisling.
