Born to a family of Imperial pilots in HIP 8444, she was raised in a setting of dictatorship in the small system. Her residency with her family on Bliss base was one of oppression and fear due to a totalitarian government. Having an issue with authority, she was rebellious as she grew up and fell into a gang. She left home at fifteen and joined a local pirate crew, raiding local vessels and stealing from stations and ports. After the raid on an imperial clipper, the pirates' ship was disabled and left adrift for system authorities to capture them. After several months in slavery, she was eventually bought back by her mother to find out her father had been killed in action with the Alliance. Eventually folding and having restrictions on her after indentured servitude, she chose to be conscripted into the Imperial Navy as a fighter pilot. After seeing combat action, she was provided an Imperial Eagle and was stationed on a dreadnought, combating piracy and fighting for the Empire. After the attacks and spread of Thargoids in the Maia system, she learned of her brother's death while he operated in that space with Imperial Navy Intelligence. After grieving and moving on, she was contacted by a member of the Federal Navy Intelligence services who notified Secantia and her mother, Claudia, that Vazima lived and had actually defected to the Federal Navy under the name of Vasques MacCullin. Sitting on the secret information for six months, she eventually planned out how to legitimately defect and leave without major consequences. Her defection was a lengthy one but she managed to reside in Eta Cassiopea and attend the Federal Navy Academy, Graduating as a pilot, she was part of a logistics squadron as an escort pilot, flying the Krait MkII. She was a member of Federal Navy Strike Division 11, Combat Logistics Squadron 117. After some years of service, she transferred to Destroyer Squadron 113 and assumed command of her brother's ship, Federal Corvette 003-11; FNS Dutchess Anarietta. Reverting to reserves, she was placed as a liaison to the Galactic Federal Guard in Korwei to assist in anti-piracy in command of a Federal Navy wing called the Jolly Rogers.
