From the age of twelve to his thirty-fourth birthday he served valiantly in the Federal Navy attaining the rank of Rear Admiral, before leaving active service to pursue a fascination with exploration.
Vilhjalmr has maintained his contacts with the Federation to the extent that even though he spends much time as an independent privateer, he serves President Zachary Hudson.
Vilhjalmr's greatest love is deep space exploration, and he has made the journeys to Colonia, Sagittarius A, and Beagle Point among many others. Personally responsible for the discovery and mapping of an entire region of habitable space in the Eol Prou Sector, Valerian hopes to one day extend the Federation into deep space and Colonize the Galaxy.
