Born of escaped Imperial slaves, Wilfred was orphaned at a very young age. Stowing away on a merchant ship to escape the orphanage, he was discovered and then eventually adopted by the Captain. Living most of his childhood on his parents Type 9, he blossomed into an accomplished pilot. Joined the Federation Navy at 22 and quickly rose up the ranks to Major before reaching 30. Upon his parents death in 3287 he was gifted their ship through his dad's will and left fulltime duty to find his destiny elsewhere. Continuing on in the reserves part time he would eventually reach Vice Admiral before retiring from service completely in 3296. Luck would find him in the year 3301 when he struck it rich mining the rings of system Wolf 1481. With his love of discovery and the means to comfortably travel, he has been all around the bubble, even placing 2nd in the famous Race for The Mug in 3303. One morning cruising through HIP 8444 he came across pirates attacking a Beluga Liner marked with the Imperial royal seal. Instead of minding his own business he turned the hardpoints of his then new Anaconda onto the pirate ship, damaging them enough to cease their attack  ensuring the survival of everyone aboard the Beluga. The battle, however, proved costly and with his ship drifting in space, oxygen about to run out, Imperial reinforcements arrived just in time to secure the pirates, rescue the royal passengers, and save the heroic passerby who was calling it a good life, toasting his final moments and his unsalvageable ship, with a special vintage wine he'd been saving. Aboard the Beluga turns out was a very important accountant to one of the royal family. With the gratitude of the Empire he was awarded an honorary rank of Duke and gifted same pirate ship, a Frankensteined Cutter, that cost him his own ship. However the pirate ship was restored, ensuring to maintain its unique character, and upgraded with all the best technology and comforts possible. A prized ship to honor his valor and with its distinctive markings a warning to anyone that this pilot is respected and to be respected. Wilfred, shortly after, set his path into a new direction. Exploring. Buying a new fleet carrier, he has embarked on the second half of his life hoping to see new wonders and maybe make some new discoveries.
