Born to a Federation military member Thoran was instantly dedicated to becoming an explorer. His father was assigned to multiple posts throughout his career and this allowed Thoran to be submersed in the nuances of space travel.

Once Thoran graduated from college with a degree in Engineering with a minor in Mining, he took to the stars. the pilots federation seemed a good fit for him and he was successful at his chosen path. However, his family ties to the Federation could not be easily forgotten. Seeing the blight of those being assaulted by the Xeno invasion he enlisted in the Federal Navy Reserve with the aim to aid the community in halting the ongoing Thargoid advance.
