Jane F. Star was born in LHS 20 in 3263 and worked her way up from the slums of Ohm City to a Pilots Federation Licence.
During her rapid rise in the pilot promotion at a young age, she got her rude nickname from envious classmates. It is unclear whether this came from competing with the male cadets or from rumours of having a possible patron. Since this was not cleared up, her nickname persisted.
The "MK II" part of her name came from a pilot's seat whose backrest held up a piece of metal. Since then, she has had double-reinforced seats installed in every ship and signed the name MK II as a sign of humility.

Meanwhile a veteran she is known as a helpful mercenary, operating in the systems around HIP 117029 and for Anti Xeno combat missions in small and medium sized ships. She's available for sparring matches, too.
