Aleks Rez is what some people would consider a "fixer" but he prefers to think of himself as an "opportunist". As in, he secretly creates problems for others so he then has the opportunity to be hired to fix the problem he has created for them. It sounds complicated but then again, Aleks is a complicated guy,

Not much is known about his past and that's exactly how he likes it. Although, authorities suspect him to be involved in countless crimes which include the aiding and abetting of a network of hackers, the covering up of a murder of a political activist, and arms trafficking. But of course there's no solid evidence to back up any of these claims. It appears that his ties to the criminal underworld and the connections that he had made through his work were serving as a structure for Aleks to hide behind. That was until it all came crashing down on him.
