Being a third generation pilot, CMDR Tex does not have the luxuries many pilots that have long family linages of flying ships have, starting out with the standard sidewinder and only a limited amount of help available to him from his family. Tex started out like his mother and grandfather, hauling people, low value cargo, and data in need of transport. Having grown bored with the monotony and a thirst for credits after an unrelated accident claimed his eye, he set out to pay off the debts of his new prosthetic and explore the galaxy. He found himself working with Julian McCoy, owner of McCoy SpaceWays after McCoy needed some discreet transportation done and Tex's previous profession made him a good fit. Eventually Tex stuck around with the company and began doing other work for them. After purchasing himself an ASP Explorer fitted for exploration, he left the safety of the bubble for increasingly long periods of time, collecting data and selling it to deep space miners and Universal Cartographics. Once he had enough money, he invested into a large mining ship and uses that to supplement his exploration earnings. He currently plans on trying to not only save to expand his own personal fleet, but replace various parts of himself with bionics. He now currently works primarily with Coworker and friend, Jyal Kharan, with mining, exploration, and passenger transportation.
