Jane "ketaknight" Norris was born the 16th of January 3283 on Kamadhenu 1. She was the third child of a family that made a fortune with slave trading and got included in the local minor nobility. She lived a pretty normal life of the daughter of a rich nobleman, with good education but always dreamt of travelling the milky way. Her parents wanted to marry her into another noble family against her will, so she stole some money and fled Kamadhenu in 3300, at age 17. She managed to get to the Pilot's Federation district and started training. Her family wasn't happy about that and publicly shamed and disinherited her, basically cutting all ties to their daughter.
Norris finished her pilot training with very good grades in 3303 and went back to Kamadhenu, where she got an offer to work for the Kamadhenu Chapterhouse of Inquisition as a freighter pilot. In 3306, she quit (staying on good terms with the Chapterhouse), and went on living the life of and independent pilot in the bubble and beyond. She joined the Stellanebula project and the SNPX squadron in late 3306.
Norris mostly focusses her current carreer on exploring into the dark, specializing on finding and tracking earthlike and terraformable planets for future colonization. She is in love with every single one of her ships, which she names after soldiers of the ADVENT wars on Earth in the distant past. She also loves to take photos of beautiful or curious-looking planets, stars or nebulae in the deep and always takes photography drones on trips into the dark.
Norris has a mostly positive and cheerful personality, but due to her antiauthoritarianism can also be rebellious and aggressive.
