Born into slavery, in 3281, in an unknown mining colony, Timo was smuggled out of the system, aged roughly one, on the ship of a Cmdr John Kepler.
Having lost his own family - and not knowing what else to do with a lone baby with nowhere to take him - John decided to bring up Timo as a son, passing on his own last name.
John sacraficed himself to allow Timo to escape, leaving Timo the Aletheia, a Cobra mk3 outfitted primarily for trading small volumes of high value - or illegal - goods, although it has been known to take down the odd attacker and escape system security now and again, along with the rest of his possessions.
Timo spends most of his time doing trade runs to small stations and colonies out on the frontier, which is where he can often be found, although he does occasionally venture off seeking the truth behind the stories John used to tell him; of Raxxla, the Ryders, The Dark Wheel, CIEP, Galcop and INRA, amongst others, including finding the wing of Imperial ships that had been the reason for John's death - John's old ship was, after all, named after the Greek Goddess of truth...

He has since taken ownership of a Krait Phantom and a DBX, and become fairly well known amongst the Marlinist worlds, playing his part in a massive food haulage and helping them with their problems with several highly successful (in their own way) pirates.
Although he has never called anywhere 'Home', he has found himself spending alot of time at Stillman Hub, HIP 22550, where he has been granted secure ship storage for his small fleet by the Marlinist authorities.

Timo has never had any trust in the Superpowers and has always opted to remain Independant, having yet to earn a permit to Sol, Alioth or Achenar.
