Commander William J. Stryker, a graduate of the Federal Naval Academy and subsequently entered service as a young Lieutenant during the Federation's expansionist period, serving as weapon's officer onboard the U.S.S. Farragut. Lieutenant Stryker served with distinction and valor on a number of occasions during several border skirmishes with pirates and raiders linked to proxy factions loyal to the Empire. Lieutenant Stryker was promoted to Lieutenant Commander on the Farragut and assigned as weapons commander for the ship. After some period of time onboard the Farragut Lt. Commander Stryker was promoted to full Commander and assigned to the U.S.S. Excelsior, a Farragut Class Battleship and assigned as Executive Officer to the ship. After several years serving onboard the Excelsior as Executive Officer, Commander Stryker retired from active duty of the Federal Navy and became a freelance Commander in the field of exploration, trade and occasional system defense contractor. Commander Stryker serves as Mission Commander on occasion when assigned by either the civilian branch of the NASF or the ISA exploration detachment. At current Commander Stryker continues to contribute towards the advancement of humanity through exploration and trade.
