Here she sat, hands shaking on the controls. Barely able to keep her ASP straight in front of the toast rack. "It's just a station, like any other." she mumbled to herself. But she knew it wasn't.

Her life should have been so easy. Growing up in a small village at the foot of Olympus Mons, second daughter of a noble family. Those were the good years, when she went on long hiking trips in the wildlands surrounding the village, and up the mountains. She always saw it as a training for when she would be old enough to join the military, like all men in the family had done. And while her mom fiercely rejected that notion, her dad had always supported her.

And so, when she turned 16, she went into service. Through those years she found herself quickly rising in ranks. She always questioned though, whether that was for her military skills, or because of her background. After all, many of her superiors were family friends, whom she'd known since childhood. Most of her mates didn't bother too much with her background, except for a few big city boys that clearly didn't get what being noble meant. For a little while, she even ran her own female-only spec-ops squad, which is when she acquired her Corvette, which she'd jokingly called Yukihime, which meant snow princess in one of the old languages from Earth.

23th May 3297, a sunny day, and a day she wont forget. A handsome man came by the family house, to speak with her dad. He had a slight tan, and his hair was pitch black. He had to be Imperial, which was a bit of a bommer. She could tell by his attire. It didn’t look anything like she’d seen throughout Federal space, and resembled more of what she’d seen during the covert missions she conducted. It looked good on him though.
She wondered what an Imperial was doing here. Diplomatic talks were normally held within the capitol, not out here in a small village. Something was off, although at the time she had no clue as to what the future would hold.
That evening they had dinner in the formal dining room, which was barely used these days. Despite being a noble family, and living in the old family estate, they’d lived rather normal lives. But tonight was completely different. They had even convinced Charls, a friend of her dad that lived in with them, to dress up like a butler. She couldn’t hold back a little giggle when he came in for the first course.

[First introduction, sitting next to him. Little tense at first, loosens up quickly]

When they had finished dining, which took 7 courses, and a full two hours, her dad and his guest went into her dad’s office. About an hour or two later,
