So where does Mhotep's story begin...or Mho as he is called often by friends and strangers alike. It begins about 15 years ago, In the Empire System of Brestla...Mhotep grew up there, on i sola Project, a somewhat dingy planetside enclave that had over recent years actually managed to be very prosperous and is known to Pilots in Empire Space as a place to acquire certain ships otherwise difficult to find within the borders of the Empire.

This lifeless rock is what Mhotep calls his birthplace, son to Malachai Thorn and Shadira Thorn. Both where loyal citizens to the Empire, each with a trade to be proud of. His Mother was a trader in some of the oldest Sol Vids, entertainment reaching as far back as the 20th century! Anything from the sleazy to the iconic could be found within her store, one reason Mhotep grew up knowing as much as he did about the history of humanity's birthplace.
Mhotep's father a skilled, yet aging mechanic, a specialist in athmospherics and therefore a very well paid member of I Sola. A proud man but kind to his only child, stern but always able to smile.

At least this is how Mhotep remembers his childhood...not that it mattered much these days since both had died a long time ago and the expanse of the Black had shown Mhotep that nothing is forever and that all that is will end one day.

Not wanting to be tied to the Planets surface, always listening to the fantastic Stories Pilots that landed told...the incredible opera that is space, Mhotep did rebel against his parents wishes and started to run amongst other dockrats, teenagers like him, working what odd jobs could be found in the docks and stealing what they could while working their jobs. Anything was better to Mhotep than to imagine living the same mundane and boring life his parents did.
