Brooks was born in the back of a stranger's Anaconda. His parents were killed when his father's ship experienced a strange malfunction, killing him. His pregnant mother escaped in an escape pod and was picked up by a scavenger in the Adder. His mother died in childbirth, so this stranger raised him and taught him everything he knew before sending him off to fight for himself. Now, Brooks frequents the system he was born, trading, scavenging, and smuggling to make ends meet. However, he has always wanted to explore the galaxy, and fight the alien threat to keep his species safe.

He prefers flying Laikon ships, enjoying the functionality over fashion they provide, but he also just thinks they look cool.

He has no outstanding opinion of any of the three major factions, and he has no problem aligning himself with whoever benefits him and his goals the most.
