Orphaned at a young age, Cmdrs Sighman and XG99 struggled through school and various institutions until eventually running away with the authorities hot on their heels.
They made it to the spaceport where an elderly couple had landed their decrepit cargo freighter looking for work. The sisters hid aboard the ship, and when they were discovered during flight they thought their fate was sealed.
Instead, the kindly older couple took the girls under their wing, teaching them skills that would prove useful later in life.
