At young age Jack was considered a gifted pilot even by his peers at the Naval Academy, though much of his career consisted of system patrols and light pirate skirmishes. But it was during the ambush in the Sirius system during a wing escort by outlaws where he proved himself a true ace. Outgunned and outmanned, he flew his Viper Mrk III 'Widowmaker' against a Andaconda, giving his escort of a Local Governor, and two other pilots a safe exit. Going head to head, he recieved heavy injuries, however managed to kill the pilot. For his bravery he was awareded a service medal, but was discharged due to disobeying direct orders, thus beginning his life as a Freelancer and Bounty Hunter.


After leaving the Federation Jack made a small name for himself as a Bounty Hunter, however this to forced him to come in contact with dangerous factions, one of them being the Vega Cartel. He was forced into a backdoor smuggling deal with illegal weapons spanning across different civil war factions, most of them independent, fighting for control. Thirty years later with a small reputation, and a name for himself with a few shadow cartels and gangsters, few knew the ship 'Red Haron' when it came to moving more illicit cargo. During a run in Imperial Space in the Deciat System he received a invitation through comms from Farseer Inc., thus began a blooming relationship between the two, running supplies, and materials in exchange for engineering on his ship, opening the door to similar engineers.
