Born in space on Lave Station to a Pilot and a Flight Co-Ordinator, Telephony didn't visit a planet with an atmosphere until her 10th birthday. Always more comfortable in space, it was inevitable that eventually she would pass her Pilot's Exams and command a Sidewinder of her own.

Following a poorly-documented encounter with an antique communication device in an anomalous wake field, Telephony's consciousness became entwined with that of a middle-aged man from the 21st Century, known as "Andy". After a few months of gender and temporal dysphoria, they settled down together happily in Telephony's body. Andy used his knowledge of dodgy economics to help her become an Elite trader, and now they search the cosmos together for fulfilment and credits.
