Perched on her forehead are a pair of circular goggles which she uses to protect her eyes from distant solar flares and dust storms when she is planet side.

Habits: She prefers to smokes cigarillos when she has the chance.

Disabilities: Prolonged exposure to low gravity has effected her ability to walk to some degree. When in her ship she is fine, but when she is planet-side she finds putting pressure on her left leg painful. This forces her walk with a cane, with quite a pronounced limp.
Hersilias left hand was severed shortly after she had only just got her first ship. An engine malfunction caused by a well aimed pulse laser shot to the power distributor. As she was trying to fix it, the engine bay hatch malfunctioned and closed on her left arm. Now her left hand and half of her forearm is mechanical. It helps her do more technical jobs and helps her a great deal, but she resents it.

Background: Hersilia is originally from Earth, the Sol system. She spent her first ten years on Earth. Her father was part of the system security of Sol, sometimes she would be able to sneak aboard her fathers ship without him noticing. It was always a daring move, she knew if she was caught by one of his superiors, she could get her father fired..or even worse, if they were caught in a battle...but that wasn't something that crossed the young girls mind. She was obsessed with the stars and the ships that could travel through them so easily, from system to system. Planet to planet. Through nebulae, across the galaxy it's self. She longed to have her own ship, to be able to do what her father refused to do.

Explore.

In her eleventh year, Hersilia, her mother and father were relocated to Daedalus, the orbital station for Mercury. This was the last time that Hersilia laid foot on a planet with 1G or more. Her father decided that because of their new circumstances, his daughter needed to learn how to fly a ship. He taught her whenever he had time, sometimes not even getting out of his ship between security shifts. Hersilia took to it quickly, learning basic maneuvers within a few days, and then basic combat maneuvers within a couple of weeks. By the time she was old enough to get her own pilots license, she could fly a ship nearly as well as a seasoned member of the system security. The only thing she lacked, was true combat experience. That came soon enough though.

At seventeen years old, her mother had recently passed away. Her family was a firm part of the Federation, so she had refused the progenitor cells which were offered to her by a passing trader, and had even called the guards to have the man incarcerated for handling of illicit items. The death of Hersilias' mother had shaken her father to the core. He retired from System security shortly after. He was unfit to work in the mind state he had been left in. He bought his daughter a pre-owned Cobra MKIII, hoping that it would help her make a living for herself. Hersilia cared for her ageing father the best she could. She would pick up any job she could to get credits. Trading, salvaging for lost parts and bounty hunting.

In the year of 3298 she picked up a standard trade mission to deliver 10 units of power converters to a nearby system. Along the way she got interdicted. She only just managed to get away. Sustaining heavy damage to the hull and thrusters. When she had got back to Daedalus she was in a rush to get back out there to find the ship that had nearly killed her. During maintenance a foolish member of the ground crew managed to sever her arm just below the elbow. A few days later she awoke in the medical bay of Daedalus. What used to be her left arm was now a construct of circuits and motors. After her accident she found herself in a terrible situation, eventually ending in her exile from the human bubble. Strange circumstances had brought one of Lakons' Asp Explorers into her possession, finally she was able to explore.
