CMDR Emile Vanddus was born 31/10/3269 on the Bursch Enterprise station in the Saktsak system.

He spent his formative years following in his parents footsteps, learning the theory and manufacturing of terraforming and fabrication equipment, as well as basic ship maintenance. The family had a old model of Adder which they used to travel within system between the planets for basic cargo runs. Vanddus would help his parents with the maintenance of the Adder and transport of parts and components of the fabrication and terraforming equipment.

As he approached adulthood, his parents were involved in an industrial accident, when a defective auto-fabricator malfunctioned and exploded. His mother was killed instantly in the explosion, and his father severely wounded and crippled. Unable to work, his father sought aid from the Saktsak Organisation, his current employer. He was given a redundancy package, along with a small payout from his life insurance. His father died from his injuries a a short few weeks later.

Left with no other known family members, and few friends, Emile decided he would not share his parent's fate. He renamed the Adder the 'Principium', which he used for small cargo runs around the Saktsak system. He used the profits from this to purchase a type-6 transporter, which he named the 'Galleon'. He began hauling larger and larger cargo, generating bigger profits. He used this money to purchase a Viper Mk-3 (Foil), used for practicing his flight skills, eventually undertaking occasional bounty hunting missions of low value criminals. Eventually used his accrued profits to purchase his Type-7 Transporter (Big Rig). 

When the NMLA attacked major starports in the 'Nine Martyrs' bombing, Emile refitted his type-7 to transport passengers, rather than cargo. He traveled to Hahn Gateway in the Nanomam system, and aided in the rescue effort there. Emile renamed his 'Big Rig' to the 'Hotbunk', both in reference to the heat issues of the type-7 and the likelihood his passengers don't stay long in the cabins.

For his efforts, Vanddus was awarded the rank of lieutenant in the Federal Navy, and was allowed to purchase a Federal Assault Ship (Caliburn). He used this to perform higher value bounty hunting around the 'Saktsak' region for the faction 'A Different Kind', in particular around Lalande 18115, where pirate activity was high. He eventually moved to Terrorist assassinations, remembering the carnage and destruction wrought by the NMLA, and vowing to prevent further atrocities if he could.  Using the profits from these higher value missions, he purchased a python (Galatine), which he outfitted as a Miner and Armed Trader. Using the profits from several lucrative Alexandrite runs, he purchased a Type-10 Defender (Bulwark).

He now lives and works around PalCon space, using what resources he has at his disposal to further to cause of the Paladin Consortium.
