Originally from Dimor 1, in the Dimor system, Aven was looking forward to travelling and getting to see the galaxy, intending to visit family and look for work. Unfortunately he found himself taken hostage by a pirate gang on his first trip off world, barely an hour out of atmo.

His imprisonment did not last long, the pirates had taken many hostage, including family members of the ruling system faction, they had also not covered their tracks very well and were quickly tracked down to a small base hidden on a nearby moon. The local system factions had gathered a force capable of taking down these troublesome pirates, when the attack started Aven led the group to a ship and managed to pilot the ship away to safety, barely.

As a reward for his actions he was given a large sum of credits which he put towards flight school and acquiring his first ship.
