Born in Turir, Gwennec was brought up to be a loyal Imperial subject. They joined the Imperial Navy as a combat pilot as soon as they came of age, which took him to the far reaches of Imperial space. Over this time, they took part in many conflicts with the Federation and independent systems.

Their service eventually brought them to Alioth to combat the forces of the Federation. Witnessing the strife the local population had to live through and thier mistreatment from both Imperial and Federal forces, they became discontent with Imperial rule & law. Eventually the uprising started and he received orders to take lethal action. Instead, he persuaded some fellow pilots to abscond with their Imperial ships and join the rebellions ranks, using their knowledge and skills to rain havoc on the Imperial and Federal forces that both reacted with force.

By the end of the conflict, only Gwennec had survived from his squadron. They chose to settle down in Alioth, continuing to protect it from pirates and any would be invaders.
