Pilot's Federation Report: CMDR "Red" the Pirate

Very little is known of this cmdr, other than his already-scarse official Pilots Federation records. Outside of that, however, this cmdr has a terrifying reputation. Reports suggest that he has amassed immense resources, captured Federal and Imperial capital ships, and even blocked out the [REDACTED] system, which he has claimed his own. This system is thought to house his manufacturing facilities where he mass-produces his own, greatly enhanced variants of both of the superpowers' capital ships, as well as automated combat bots, modified variants of ships, and even his own Thargoid variants.

On top of that, this cmdr has undergone extensive cybernetic enhancements, which are due to his possession of incredibly powerful and adaptive nanomachines, which he even claims to be biomechanical in nature. These nanomachines are extremely dangerous, and can appear to "corrupt" or "consume" almost any matter of Red's choosing. He has used this to great effect against attacking ships, preferring to capture and "recycle" most of the hostile or disabled ships he comes across.

Most startlingly, this behavior is not limited to human ships. Cmdr Red has been observed to corrupt and capture Thargoid vessels as well, and has even utilized the captured Thargoids in combat. Worse still, several previously unknown Thargoid interceptor variants have recently been sighted throughout the galaxy, which bear semblance to Red's signature construction style. This has led to the conclusion that Red has not only turned many Thargoid ships to his side, but has also copied the design, and mass-produced his own variant.

Sightings of this cmdr are rare, however. Most reports show this cmdr at the edge of ships' sensors in a highly modified Mamba. Personal encounters, on the other hand, have baffled scientists to this day. Reports seem to suggest that this cmdr is in possession of two separate bodies. The earliest sightings seem to point towards one being his original, albeit with extensive enhancements to his lower legs, left arm, and the entirety of the right sight of his head. The other, however, appears to have been acquired much later, right after his supposed "death" during the [REDACTED] incident, where he was apparently beheaded. This body appears to be taller, stronger, and far more mobile than his original, being made entirely out of nanomachines. This has not stopped him from using his original body, as he has been seen using both over the course of the past few years.

The most mysterious part about this cmdr is his past, or rather, the lack thereof. Cmdr Red has no other known alias on record, and the earliest documentation show him to be a completely unmodified, below-average, everyday cmdr who has just started out in a fresh sidewinder in LHS 3447, in early January, 3303. Before this date, however, this cmdr's name simply vanishes. Rumors circulating the galaxy hint at a possible, although extremely unlikely, answer. Supposedly, in late 3302, an Imperial Majestic-Class Interdictor was experimenting with new frame shift drive technology. At some point, the drive malfunctioned, and shot the craft over a thousand years into the past. Cmdr Red, along with a few friends of his, boarded this vessel, and somehow managed to return to the present timeline. This event seems completely impossible, but to date, is the only explanation for Red's existence.
